so i thought i would use my last 50 medals for the application for club tortimer, see what the whole thing is about.
(seeing as i have had nl since it came out and never ventured into signing up!)
The first person i met came up to me and said "I NEED MONEY" and was making his character cry and be moody and stuff with the emotions.
I couldnt walk around without that person being RIGHT behind me and stalking me.
then he tried to make me play a game where you dig holes and bury stuff/drop it.
alarm bells were ringing in my head... so i blocked him and went home!

what have your experiences been like?

are there any benefits to cub tortimer (i kinda wanted the sea globe etc)

You sometimes meet fun and nice people, and there is also a ton of rare items. Otherwise CT is a waste of medals

how do you get the rare items? are they sold in the same place as the mermaid and cabana stuff or do you have to unlock/earn them?

It went like this:

Me: *enters*
Girl: *enters*
Me: hi
Girl: how old are you?
Me: 13
Girl: bye
Girl: *leaves*

yeah it's just random

I meet super nice people but then some that beg for money. That's the reason why I don't go to the island anymore.

9 times out of 10 I meet nice people, whether they're the normal people or the absolute fanatics. I never really had any bad experiences regarding beggars, because most cases, I just give them bells. (I have enough to donate, so why not?) The only bad experiences I've had was with the gibberish-speaking Japanese players, who trap people and tear up islands with no explanation, even the sane Japanese people can't figure out why.

My very first time on CT, this boy arrived. He didn't say anything to me. He just jumped in the water and went diving. Pretty boring. I prefer the annoying trolls and bell beggars. They entertain me.

Whenever I encounter a bell beggar. I just turn it around on them. I follow them around saying "I'm so poor, please give me some bells". I don't stop until they either leave, go on a tour, or flip the wifi.

I met a few nice people in club tortimer, when i went a lot to finally find a silver axe, who actually wanna go on tours, but i had an awful lot of horrid experiences too. I've been harassed by girls so many times, the most terrifying being a girl trying to sell her phonenumber for bells, like wtf.. that really freaked me out.

Usually the people I meet are normal, but there have been people who are rude, sadly!

Think some of the new players got the game for free from Club Nintendo and are there to troll/beg.
I just block them and than go on a tour. Come back and their gone.
I've had good and bad times at both NA/ International.
I'm from Canada and play with Canadians the most. Sad to say they were worst than the international players.

I don't go on CT often, but my friend goes on almost every day. She told me recently that she had met a neo-nazi type person on CT who was wearing a Nazi swastika designed top and was talking non stop about white supremacy. After hearing about this I go on CT even less lol...

I actually met a pretty nice girl. We played a bunch of tours and caught bugs. Though I have not gone back since my first reset over a year ago. @____@

Hm, I can't remember my first CT experience, for the most part they're pretty normal- people wanting to compare their QR outfits, playing around asking for girlfriends, or just bored people wanting to chit chat.

There is one I distinctly remember, because it made me rage super hard. A person decided to queue up for a tour, and never sat down to go, which prevented me from leaving, despite me asking for them to un-queue so I could go to sleep. They said something along the lines of having a bad day so if their day sucked then so should mine. I was stuck on the island for over an hour until I gave up and just turned my game off. It was really rude of them and I can't believe there are people out there that do that sort of thing, but apparently there are. I haven't gone to CT since.

I can't really remember my first time at CT. But I can say that I usally meet people that just say hi and stand there spamming emotes. It's also not uncommon for me to see someone digging up holes outside and every once in a while I see hackers that brought golden tools with them and can chat while checking their pockets preventing people from leaving. The final time I went there was when I saw someone ask a girl for her phone number. So yeah I'm never going to CT ever again -_-
