Marth and Roy's inclusion didn't do that much. It made people in the west aware that the Fire Emblem series exists, but it tragically never gained a humongous following until Awakening brought in Casual mode. Also, Roy's game has never come out in the west.
If anything, considering how many other characters people wanted, I figure Corrin will simply please some fans of the series and push away anyone who hasn't tried the series out of spite.

I love that despite having a sword, Corrin isn't actually sword-based. Among the Fire Emblem characters, Corrin has to be the most unique. That makes, what, six FE characters in Smash now? Damn.
Bayonetta, though. Oh damn. Girl, you fine. I still need to play through her games, but I've always loved anything I got from her personality from trailers, presentations, and the like. I'm really glad she made it in. I would have loved Inklings or Shovel Knight, and I know many people wanted Shantae, but this is good too!
And her art is flippin' fantastic.

Eh, the dragon stuff does make Corrin pretty unique. But at the same time, I would have preferred Aqua as someone else mentioned pages back. The water magic and her using a lance would be more interesting than another sword, despite me using Ike, Marth, Roy, and Robin anyway.

I vs' ed 20 clouds already and most of them just kept sliding, some kept charging up and ended up wasting it on the recovery, and there was one good guy and one annoying guy that kept jumping
