Hi. I put Feng Shui in my main room but I haven't noticed any difference. It also looks like a mess since I was just working on getting items with the colors in the correct areas. If you have any tips for the rest of a that would be great. If others aren't noticing it helping with bells, gold from rocks, DIY recipes from balloon and so on then I will redo my main room. Thanks.

This article has testing results from 3 people each specializing in one color and then popping 10 balloons, but who knows.. I'm wondering if it does anything besides HHA scoring, myself! If it only has to do with that, I will personally stop bothering. (I'm way way way more interested in far-reaching good luck benefits!)

I've been applying Feng Shui, or AC's version of it, since Population Growing, and this is my question too. Back on the Gamecube, red shui (East wall) supposedly affected item luck. Now what means exactly, I don't know.

Since practically PAVING my main room's Eastern wall, I have noticed an uptick in balloons dropping items, even the yellow ones that mostly drop cash and the blue ones that drop mats. But that could be wishful thinking/confirmation bias on my part. One thing's for sure, the minute I find out that in ACNH, shui only affects HHA evals, I am done with it!

I just saw someone say on Reddit that so far datamining has only revealed it's tied to HHA evaluations. :( Though that's just one person - I don't datamine so who knows if it's true or not. But if it is - maybe the luck system will be added back in, alongside Katrina, in a future update. I really hope so, because I loved how it was in New Leaf and it's only natural to assume (and wish) that NH could expand on it even further!

Just anecdotal experience, but since I optimized my colors for feng shui a few days ago, I've noticed way fewer balloons with 5x clay/iron than before. I've also been getting much higher-value items offered in Nook's Cranny (expensive violin, ring, kitchen island). Prior, I never got offered anything that cost more than 5k bells...but I'm not sure if that's just because Nook's Cranny renovated/upgraded earlier this week, so now they offer better items (is that a thing?).

i simply followed the feng shui guide from new leaf in terms of colours and furniture placement; it seemingly works as before, i hardly ever had hybrids grow and now i get 2-4 everyday
