Fed up with the campsite

Nintendo already fixed this, I think two patches ago? Since the patch I’ve been getting a camper every 6-10 days.
They did? I haven't gotten a camper in ages and rn I don't TT so. I did have villagers asking to move out a bit more frequently though even if it was those I wanted to stay lol

Yes. I did the campsite method to get my dreamies and I consistently got a camper every 6-10 days or so (once a week). 😊

Damn that's nice. Here's hoping I get a nice one because there are def some I need out lol

Based on my experience and from what I heard based on datamine, the campsite gives you a personality you’re missing 60% of the time so that ups your chances if you’re looking for a specific villager (way higher than island hopping). Also, you can kick out any villager you hate by inviting any random camper. They choose random villagers to kick out so if they mention someone you want to stay, quit the game without finishing that conversation and try to invite them again until they mention to kick out the one you hate. 😊 So I’ve not only used my campsite to get dreamies, I’ve also used it to kick out villagers I didn’t want. Lol.

Oh yeah I keep getting lazy and cranky, not that there are many I like so I usually don't even try aha.
And yeah I know, though thank you.. Just hoping I get one at all xD

i think the campsite is ridiculous in this game. i don't mind the rate in which villagers come visit, but getting them to stay? omg. i spent over 40 minutes trying to get blaire to stay. it was absolutely ridiculous.

I agree they should increase the odds to get a camper. I'd also like to invite a villager in boxes in our campsite, that would be useful!

Anyone else feel this? The rate at which you actually get anyone at the campsite feels ridiculously low IMO. I wish Nintendo would up the frequency at which you get campsite villagers because this plot is just standing there empty 90% of the time (and making people want to TT who would ordinarily prefer not to.)

It also seems like a pretty pointless feature tbh whose only function is to allow you to get another villager. Yeah that's a great feature on the rare occasion you get someone you like in there. But that is its single solitary feature, other than that, there's no point to it being there - it doesn't bring anything special to the town.

I would like to see the campsite villager leave their tent and roam the island. I want to see them invite my neighbours to come and sing songs over the campfire. I want them to send me on an errand to get some fruit that you can't get from their own hometown, and get some little reward for doing it. I want them to do... anything really, anything that justifies their visit to the campsite at all, from an in-game perspective. Doing some of these things might actually sway a person into adopting a campsite villager that would otherwise have dismissed. How can they tell you what a great time they're having when they spend their entire camping holiday inside their tent?

Maybe they can turn it into like a "daily" campsite visitor instead. In that way, we have more reason to log into the game. But this will heavily destroy villager market prices. (Not that I mind.)

With this implementation, it doesn't feel fair if we can kick any villager out every day. So let's take that feature away and increase the frequency of villagers asking to move instead. I am fine with this suggested arrangement.

Anyway, it's annoying to see Isabelle talking about her usual stuff again each day. The encounter rate is really that horrid.

I wish they increased the spawns a bit because I remember having 4 weeks without one.

Campers should definitely walk on your island, I don't understand why they don't act like normal villagers with housing.

Also someone on here once said that you should invite a villager from an island to your campsite instead, so others could pick them up as well.

as someone who time travels a lot, even then its quite here and there when it comes to villagers in the canpsite spawning, but i do agree it would be nice to have a higher chance, once a week would honestly be perfect!!

I think I've only seen three or four islanders in the campsite that weren't brought in by amiibo. It's a little over two months, so that's two per month. That's not bad, but it could be better, I suppose. I hardly ever got the campsite filled in New Leaf. Both games have always had incredibly low chances.

I don't really pay attention to it, because I just forced amiibo cards into my island. If I didn't have access to that and had to rely on the campsite to get the remaining 4 or whatever that would be annoying.

I also wish that I got campers more often. Even if you amiibo someone in. I actually really dislike that if you amiibo a camper in then it resets the campsite and you have to wait the full period for the chances to get a camper to reach maximum potential again. If you want to use an amiibo you can kick out a random camper to invite the amiibo camper so why should the potential for a new camper have to reset? I actually liked how often I got campers in NL. My island is supposed to be popular for tourists after all, I'd be much happier if at got a camper like every other day maybe, but even when I don't use amiibo it's been like two weeks at a time sometimes. That applies to all of the islands I have played and obviously not my current one which is still very young. I wouldn't mind only having a couple of interactions with my campers if I got to see them more often honestly.

I think the reason the camper rate is so low, is because they want to encourage island hopping. But I totally agree, the chances of encountering one need to be higher or the experience when you get one needs to be more worthwhile.

I had only one(!) camper throughout the whole May. Five since March 20th including mandatory smug. That's kinda ridiculous.
Although I must say that my campers quality is pretty decent :D I've had Lopez, Judy, Fang, Twiggy and Elmer.

It would be cool if campers could leave the campsite and interact with other villagers and walk around the island! I haven't had a campsite visitor yet since the first time when I was forced to take the villager staying in my campsite.
