Pompompurin is like my top favorite. Very cute and his little hat makes me think of an acorn cap.
Next: pochacco. gudetama. pekkle. aggretsuko. cinnamoroll. mocha.

I honestly think all of the characters are absolutely adorable! I love the entire series and how each one has its own unique charm. If I had to pick favorites, I’d say Aggretsuko, Kuromi, and Chococat top the list for me. Aggretsuko is just so relatable with her mix of cute and fierce energy, and Kuromi’s punk aesthetic and mischievous attitude always make me smile. Chococat with his sweet and slightly quirky nature is just too precious to resist. It’s hard to choose because each character has something that makes them special!

Aggretsuko without a doubt, despite being the only Sanrio anime I've watched. Many of the characters in it are likeable, even if they don't appear to be at first. I honestly thought that at first glance this was going to be a cheesy thing made for kids, but Retsuko screaming actual death metal and drinking beer during the first episode totally proved me wrong. I became hooked right away. When it comes to some of the characters...
  • Retsuko - Her personality is highly unique. She appears to be your average young accounting employee who's timid and stressed, but lets loose at the karaoke booth where all her built-up stress is released. Very centered on marrying someone with money so she can quickly quit her job, but at the same time doesn't want to leave stuff unfinished or let her friends down.
  • Haida - He's a silly klutz at times, and it shows whenever he finds out about Retsuko dating someone else. While not the type of guy to typically rely on to take the extra step, he'll do so at the exact right time (for instance, during the season 3 finale, he tackles a psycho on the streets that attempts to kill Retsuko with a boxcutter after noticing she was going out alone). He'll also take the extra step at the wrong times as well (basically the main plot of season 4), so you could say he can't find a good balance of trying to win Retsuko over and being able to support himself financially.
  • Fenneko - Ally of Retsuko and Haida. She likes to put her nose into what others are up to on social media, and subsequently shares information with everyone. This actually ends up being helpful in numerous episodes, especially when trying to train Haida into finding a girlfriend or whatever the heck mysterious stuff Retsuko is up to after work. And yes, she has an uncanny monotonous laugh to go with her personality.
  • Ton - Super angry accounting boss who's mind is stuck in the 1980s. Claims to be overworked, even though he likes to shove stuff onto his workers. Calls Retsuko "Calendar" almost all the time, which basically means her days at work are numbered. While he appears to be an unlikable character early on, things start to happen in the later seasons where outside factors cause him to reveal a more softer side, especially if his family is involved. Despite his general dislike for Retsuko, he will still give her hard life facts that she benefits from. One nice thing I remembered Ton saying from season 2 was essentially this - his family may drive him crazy, but without coming home to the kids and wife every day, he wouldn't have anything to do in his life.
  • Tadano - My personal favorite both in looks and personality. With his laid-back mentality, kindness for others and intelligent mind, he's pretty much someone I wish I could be. I loved his appearances in season 2 and the whole plot line of him falling in love with Retsuko. Even if the two couldn't remain together after their disagreements on marriage, I always liked seeing him in later episodes for non-romantic reasons, such as befriending Haida after a chance encounter. In fact, I've got a theory that Tadano had a significant hand with helping Haida win over the latter's crush on Retsuko for good. I mean, it's very hard to hate the guy to be honest.
  • Gori and Washimi - Just because some employees are higher up on the chain than Retusko doesn't mean they can't be friends. With the three sharing a common interest in yoga, they quickly become Retsuko's friends, and are the first to find out about her secret talent. They even take advantage of their authority and help Retusko with some of her big problems around the workplace, and both refuse to let her down even after they share disagreements during the second season.
In short, the anime shows you that friends can be made in unlikely places, you never know until you try, and hidden talents can help fund personal success.

For the more popular ones I like Little Twin Stars, but Adorozatorumary is definitely more up my ally. Matches my style pretty well.
