As much as I hate bugs irl and even in game, I like quite a few of the beetles and most of the butterflies. My favorite butterflies/moth are in no order: emperor’s, queen alexandra’s birdwing, madascan sunset moth, great purple emperor, paper kite, rajah brooke’s, peacock and agrias. my favorite beetles are golden hercules and rainbow stag. I also like the walking stick

My favourite bug is the Queen Alexandra’s birdwing I love it’s big wings and the different shades of green and detail in the wings is so beautiful

i love the butterflies as well! they’re so beautiful and i love seeing them fly around! my favourites are the emperor butterfly, great purple emperor, common butterfly, monarch butterfly and queen alexandra’s birdwing, but i also really like the walking leaf, snail and banded dragonfly as well!

I love hermit crab. I may sound weird but hermit crabs are cute irl and in the game.

My favorite would probably have to be the Atlas Moth since the tops of their wings resemble snake heads.

Scorpions and Tarantulas are nice too since they're a bit more fun to capture than other bugs.

I'll also give honorable mention to the various cicadas and crickets in the game. Not particularly fond of them aesthetically, but I love hearing them in the evenings in Fall.

Probably a tie between the scorpion and tarantula. I don't know, I just like their look and how they are deadly lurkers. Keeps everyone on their toes. You think this is a game where you can chill and relax? You're dead wrong!

orchid mantis cuz prettiii colours and their model makes a cute decoration. atlas moth cuz look at the bloody size of im. and scorpion probably cuz i’m a scorpio and i’m bias >:]

I really love emperors butterfly for their pretty & shiny blue colour, and I love the grasshoppers for absolutely no particular reason at all. I just do. funky lil jumping beans.

The orchid mantis was my favourite in ACNL, but I think in ACNH, it'd have to be the big summer beetles and definitely the emperor butterfly. Because wow, that butterfly really looks great in here!!

Before they got rid of the special flower islands, I managed to visit one at night time via Nook Ticket. They were all over the place and it looked really cool seeing their wings shimmer like that!

I maintain my rooms with roaches, and also add those toy ones here and there.

I understand why they're not catchable since they only show up if you dont play the game for a long time, and encouraging that is bad game design.

But they really feel like they should be catchable XD

I also like how Nintendo added the detail of them popping off rocks when you run by them.

the madagascan sunset moth has the most gorgeous coloring, it’s definitely one of my favorites. i also love the scorpion, tarantula and spider.

You could catch roaches on flowers in older Animal Crossing games, as I recall. Not sure why they removed them in later games.

All of the bugs look beautiful in New Horizons. I love the butterfly room in the museum.

But the man-faced stinkbug is just amusing to me. I hadn't heard of it before I played New Horizons, and I can hardly believe there really are real bugs in real life that look like that. It's so face-y! XD

I like basically all of the butterflies, with the monarch being my favorite. The Damselfly is also right up there for me.

My favorite is a tie between the Atlas moth and banded dragonfly, the Atlas is just so beautiful and majestic looking! I think I mostly only
like the banded dragonfly so much because it’s so fun to catch! But I also like the bands on its tail end.
