Fastest way to get villagers to move?

Hi I vaguely remember reading around a year ago on this forum that someone posted a way to automatically get your villager to move out one after another. I think it was when one villager is in boxes you go back in time a certain number of months and forward in time a certain number of days and right after that another villager would be in boxes.

I already tried using the search function, but couldn't find what I was looking for. Am I recalling a non-existent/wrong method? Or does anyone know what I am talking about.
