Fang won't ping me?

hi! so from yesterday and today, two villagers (beau and molly) have both told me that fang was thinking of leaving. but whenever i pass him, he's never pinged me! i've waited a few minutes, but it still hasn't happened. i really don't want him to leave, what should i do? right now i have him stuck in a small area, hoping that eventually it'll happen.

If you save and quit and reload your game, he should ping you when you walk by him again

Try saving and quitting the game and then re-enter the game and pass in front of him a couple times. This situation has happened to me before and someone told me to try this and it worked for me c:

Yes, try saving the game & reloading. This should get him to ping c: It is a bit freaky at first because I have been in this situation before-but doing this will cause the villager to ping you.

thanks guys! i'd tried saving and quitting before but he hadn't pinged me then, but i tried again and now he's staying again, thanks!
