Good news! You can! You just have to plant a weed until it pops up to be the weed that grows into the weed you are looking for. That's how I have a big patch of the ornamental long grass in my Japanese inspired area.

Dude yes ! I use the weeds in this game to decorate in this game, especially using them to intermingle with paths leading off from my main pathway!

i honestly think the weeds are super pretty year-round! i still pick them to go towards the nook mile achievement + i don’t want to mess up my island rating but i love the look of them! the fall ones are definitely my favourite so far; i especially love how they look once fully grown and am definitely planning on incorporating them into decorating! i’m not expecting much since they’ll likely look pretty dead but i’m excited to see what they’ll look like in the winter c’:

I'm doing a lazy man's rock garden, so I've been letting my flowers and weeds go wild, and have even planted about 115 weeds on purpose.

I still have 5 star rating. I've been making sure because I heard theres a type of mushroom that only spawns if you have 5 stars.

Agreed! They look lovely mixed in with orange/white flowers (which I have a lot of) and pumpkins. They also remind me of a wheat field and would fit perfectly in gardening areas.

They're all grouped up here, but I will be placing them on mini islands in the middle of the lake I'm making.

The weeds in this game are in general gorgeous, they give the whole island a more natural look and make it also more "alive".

I super love the weeds and esp the fall ones. I wish they didn't lower the island rating cause they look so dang good! I also wish the amount of weeds that can be fully grown is upped, they just make the grass look so much more better and more natrual. I like the variation of length and such rather than flat no definition no shape grass.

I completely agree!! the weeds in this game are definitely the cutest in the series and I'm high key considering letting them grow in some areas as I'm wanting to build up a bit of a woodlands vibe

I absolutely love fall weeds. The only weeds I haven't want to remove. I have them in places on my island for aesthetic. I'm gonna be sad when they're gone

Yes! I love the weeds! Even in the summer, they were cool and definitely went with the vibe. I don't know what they look like in the winter (and I don't plan on looking and spoiling that for myself) but they'll probably stay. I only have one area of my island that has the weeds anyhow. To be honest, I should try to use them better for decorating purposes.

Weeds are seasonal.

No matter what the weed you plant looks like when you first plant it - it/they will all grow into the weed of whatever season you're in.

They just change with the season.

I'm not talking about seasonal weeds. I'm talking about the weed type. A clover weed will never grow into a grass weed. But a grass weed will.
