Exterior glitch

So I just scanned in an amiibo 3 times and the villager there replacing is in boxes. can I TT now or will that cause the exterior to glitch?

You should be able to TT no problem.

Do NOT time travel backwards !

If you do, the old villager's house will never get demolished and the new villager will move into their old house

Go forward, then go back. I am almost sure the glitch is caused by TTing backwards when the villager leaving is in boxes (that's how it happened to me anyway)

You can time travel, just don't go backwards or time travel more than one day and you should be fine. I just moved in Ike with an amiibo and kicked out Butch but I traveled 3 days ahead specifically to glitch the house cause I like Butch's house more than Ike's. So yeah, it can be used to your advantage sometimes hehe
