Exact time when new plots appear?

Hey guys, so I'm trying to do the new save file trick to control where a villager I just adopted will move in! The problem is, because of the time I had set in the game, its still not the "next day".

Since I can only change the clock after loading up my Mayor character, that would permanently set the plot whereever it appears. So I'm thinking I'll just set the clock to be 1 minute before the plot is supposed to load and appear and save & quit, wait 10 minutes, then do the start a new save trick.

So what time do new plots appear? 6AM? Do you think this will work? I'll be super pissed if my dreamie plonks her house in the middle of my orchard....

6AM, so load up your mayor and change the time to 5:56-5:57AM

I try 5:58 or 5:59.

new days in acnl always start at 6AM. be careful as to not muck up the times.

Okay!! I'll try that, just had to sanity check since all the plot reset guides I was reading don't mention the exact time plots appear

What I do is change the system time on my 3ds and I have not experienced any problems that way

Edit: this way you dont have to worry about loading your mayor character at all. just set to new day and new save file.
