I don't get the point of these '700th poster will win __ set' threads.

Now that you say it like that, I don't really know either. It's just that you're supposed to post a lot and work together to get to the goal I guess. But as has been said earlier by Annika, in the last 50 posts or so a lot of random people will join and the winner won't have participated in achieving the 800 posts at all. I'm having a bit of fun with it though, you get the chance to chat with some people and earn some TBT. :)

Yo-Kai is a lot like Pokemon, except instead of monsters they're 'spirits', and it's your job to catch/befriend and battle with them. That's about all I know about it, but I played the demo and it seemed okay. The graphics are engaging.

I don't know anything about the Luigi's Mansion for 3ds but I remember the original game from when I was babysitting and that also looks cool.

so i really dont get how popular this game is if its EXACTLY like Pokemon but with ghosts..... :I it would be like if the whole Pokemon game were made up of Ghost type Pokemon and nothing else... seems BORING!

She said a lot, though, and not exactly the same. But I have to say, if it's that much like Pok?mon, what makes it so different? I mean, in what way does it differ from Pok?mon that makes people like it? (serious question here)

It's not exactly alike. The battles are a completely different style, and instead of movesets you have different actions to complete in order to fight, etc. I didn't play enough of it to really get a good feel, but it seemed to me that if you like Pokemon but hate how every game follows the exact same storyline, you'd like Yo-Kai for a change.

But it's not really different enough to entice people who don't like Pokemon, or who don't really see the need for it. I'm probably not going to ever take it very seriously, but if it ends up in my household (my son wants it), I'll play it.

I wouldn't buy it just for myself though.

I'm going to go off to bed, good night all! I'm not sure if I'm going to be here tomorrow, but I will at least make a few posts to contribute a bit. :)

I'm in the mood to spend everything I own on turnips and make billions

Me too. Just not thrilled about clearing out the space for them. That's the exact reason I didn't buy turnips last week
