how long after the 4 fashion checks will the store shut down to upgrade to the emporium?

When I got mine, the shop was open the day after and had the pre-remodelling sale, then it was closed the day after and the emporium opened on the 3rd day

hmmm, i have passed all 4 and it has been like a week and no sale or anything... a little concerned

You'll have to wait awhile. Make sure you've spent at least 100,000 Bells at T.I.Y. and it should come within the next couple days after.

Mine was the day after the 4th fashion check, but that was only because I'd purchased 100k+ items from the stores over the time I've been playing.

I'm not sure but I do know that stationery, wrapping paper, and melody cards don't count toward the bell total.

Fortune cookies do though and are counted as 500 bells.

[EDIT]: It also doesn't upgrade until 30 days past the last shop upgrade even if you have spent 100k+ though.

It takes 30 days after you open T.I.Y. at minimum. Most people pass the 30-day mark before 4 Fashion Checks though.

Yes, if you have the police station in your town he will let you know when Gracie is there. A lot of people have time travelled to get the Emporium quicker.
