I can?t get over seeing a villager eat soup and linking that up to the new mechanic of eating for a power boost to bust rocks or pick up trees. Maybe there?s recipes? Actual recipes. That would be really cute. Ac always seems like a game that should have cooking.

that's a cute idea!

i think the concept of eating an apple and suddenly having the strength to dig up a tree or break a rock is a little bit comical, but i appreciate that it's possible. it gives a use for fruit, too, aside from just earning bells!

I’m pretty psyched about fruit having a purpose alone. Lol

I cant wait!!! I'm hoping unlocking brewsters cafe and getting all the different coffee/treats gives you a super bonus :P like drinking coffee in the morning doubles the points you have or something

I would love there to be a cooking mechanic, even if it's not for energy but just to give gifts to villagers and see them eat your creations. Imagine bringing soup and medicine to a sick villager, though I guess sick villagers are no longer in the game.

Since energy can stack up to 10 and eating 1 native fruit increases it by 1, then it could be like, eating a fruit salad or an apple cobbler increases it by 5. That would be time-efficient if you need to break a lot of rocks to collect stone.

That would add the perfect amount of whimsy to the game. And functionality because In new leaf we had cake, ice cream, chocolate and it really didn’t do anything except give you an animation. I mean I still loved carrying around my little ice cream but I would love it more if It gave me a buff!

Hell yeah. I was gonna say something about running boosts but that might be too “head in the clouds” haha it’s fun to imagine though.
What I’m actually sure of is that we will be able to eat desserts we get for Valentine’s Day and stuff and it will go towards our buff. I mean why wouldn’t it, you know?

I would love cooking for gifting to villagers, or just to make it as furniture for decoration. Would be even cooler if cooked dishes gave you +3 or more energy as opposed to fruit giving you just 1, which would give it more of a purpose.

It makes me think of Popeye every time!

.
I dont know why but this made me think of our character getting caffeine addiction after having coffee every morning for a few days and if you dont have any you are all groggy and slow lmao

that would be really cute! i’m glad fruit has more of a role in this game instead of it just to be to give to villagers occasionally (or dr. shrunk in nl lol)

it’d be great if food recipes were introduced and if we were even able to cook!

In the direct there was a pizza in the outside oven! It might just be apart of the decor but what if it wasent!

bro i really hope it’s not just decor! if we can cook now i’ll literally cry c’:

Its about time they made eating fruit actually useful. As for recipes, that would be super cute. It makes me think of breath of the wild. If DIY recipes exist, who says cooking recipes won't? Who knows.

I really don't want to have an energy system.
We've never needed it before. And what about terraforming? Would we need to eat for that?

If I have to monitor an energy meter that would definately make me not want to play.

I've read about Stardew and how that works.
I don't want this game to have a constant energy meter.

Will it? Be constant, for everything?

i would be so happy if we ended up being able to "cook" those little consumable food items through DIY recipes. they're called recipes after all! it always made me sad how they were so hard to get throughout the game in new leaf.

i'm glad nintendo also seemingly heard the complaints about rocks ruining town layouts and gave us the option to destroy them. i wonder though if we'll be able to replace them?
