I'm currently trying to replace some of my villagers with my dreamies in my newer town, but I don't really know how to approach it. Since I have to move 5 villagers out right now, I just TT to random dates and wait for one to ping me, trying again if no one moves. However, when it gets down to 2 or 1 villager(s), I probably won't want to do that. I've heard about the second character trick and that's probably what I'll do if it still works, but I wanted to know if there were other ways. I've also heard that bringing your friendship up with the villager increases their chances of moving out, but I'm not sure if it's true. Thanks for any and all tips!
Also, friendship matters insofar as the villager might decide to stay to develop a stronger friendship. But if that happens, I just turn the game off and on again and talk to the same villager again.
well what i do is i ignore on villager talk to the rest and you talk to one villager till the point they stop talking to you. most of the time that villager will tell you a rumor(which means no one is moving) or theyll tell you that someone is thinking about moving. if you have dreamies that you dont want to loose only tt 2 days each time. thats what iv been doing and i just jeed one last person to move out and then ill have all my dreamies!
3 days forward, check for a ping, one more day, check, one/two more, check. Def to get a ping, 9/10 times. If it's right, good! TT to a day past their moving date. If it's wrong, reject and TT to the day after they said they're moving. Then go back however many days you went forward. (Sometimes I can get them locked in a specific week of the month, it's really convenient.)
Alright, I'll try the ways that MilkToast and UnwrittenTale suggested! One of my personal habits is putting on something to watch because of how lengthy the process can be.
