Earthquake in Haiti

I've heard about that terrible earthquake in Haiti. I feel very, very sorry for them cause, Haiti is one of the poorest country in the Western Hempisphere.. Alot of them only live on $2 a day! (Haiti is kinda smaller than Maryland, for example of the size). This earthquake was a new record of one of the worst, since 200 years. It was 7.00.. 3million people were needed to go to the emergency room after the earthquake (obviously the emergency rooms were all broken down, and some might've been crushed). I hope they get better.

I did hear about it. Their people have suffered for so long under the conditions of poverty and whatnot... I wander how long they can last. My prayers do however go out to them.

It's the reactions of some of you people that cause me to worry about desensitizing the youth... is the loss of human life that amusing to you? This... has left me at a loss for words... the agony their country feels and all you do is sit their and laugh at their pain, their suffering... and death.

I wasn't laughing at the catastrophe. I was laughing at his word choice.
"I hope they get better" seems like something the 2 year old kid down the street would say if he heard there was an earthquake. It's like hearing that someone was decapitated and some tells their corpse to feel better soon.

It just is infuriating that such inconsiderate ideals are held by the forum goers here. I can't say I'm 100% surprised but, these kids need to understand the severity of the issue.

Hopefully they will be open enough to accept it...
