What are you guys doing/planning to do with each room of your house?
Have any of you tried to combine "two rooms" into one room? kitchen/living room or bedroom/bathroom?

Honestly I am struggling a little bit with the 3 tiny side rooms because I feel like not much can really fit in them.

My main room is going to be a nice out of space lounge area. The room to the right is going to be a kitchen but I can’t decide on what look to go for (there’s not very many options for kitchen ><) the room to the left is a bathroom butterfly themed with plants. The room straight back is a weirdos room. I mean like makes no sense room but it was fun making it! Money floor camera wall a UFO and some other funny stuff. The basement is a spooky gold dungeon! I have everything gold in there and nice paintings and flags and some Celeste items, it’s really cool with the lights off! The second floor is my mermaid bedroom, everything mermaid and shell themed. Once I finish my house I am going to start more houses but this is taking so long lol

Honestly, I'm probably going to have each room be themed around the holiday items, except Bunny Day cause of that egg PTSD, lol. As much as I love this game, the lack of furniture sets has made it difficult to fill up an entire player's house with unique furniture sets.

Right now:
- my top floor is the Ironwood set, paired with miscellaneous things that match it.
- main room will likely be the Harvest/Thanksgiving set once that releases next month.
- back room is the Spooky/Halloween set.
- left room and right room will likely remain empty for a while. Need to wait to see what future updates will be added.
- basement will be for Festive/Christmas set.

I am really stumped. I have combined rooms though.

What I have upstairs in my main character’s house is a combo of outdoors in front of the Muggy Kingdom from One Piece, dining/sitting area (though i changed the dining area a little due to a suggestion that the counter looked better than the table in this setup) and bedroom.

I just moved my cartographer’s room to an alt’s house. @pyoopi’s cartography room and One Piece again inspired me. I would’ve loved to have fit more bookshelves in here like I have at Harv’s studio; I was trying to combine another room with this one initially but this is all that I can fit; i’m actually happy with how this turned out. I plan on putting gold rose wreaths on the walls.

I have a room that is loosely based on the aquarium room/dining room/kitchen from One piece. I plan on moving that to my alt’s house.

I have mixed feelings about this one. I try to make my designs as different and unique (like out of the box designs) as possible and functional, but this one is semi-functional and the kitchen area isn’t anything special. I’ll likely try to modify this or change it entirely. I am happy though with the vibe and how it looks overall though.

In my main house, I have the large room as the living room (pirate theme) and my bedroom on the second floor. The first floor small rooms are bathroom, kitchen, and dining room. In the basement, I made an underground palace room with the astrology furniture (HHA loves that room).

In the princess bed-and-breakfast house, the main room is Cinderella's diner and a small room is Belle's library. Then there are 4 bedrooms--"decorated by" Mulan, Snow White, Ariel, and Elsa & Anna.

I also have a haunted/Halloween/horror house, but I'll be dismantling it after Halloween. It's got a fortune-telling parlor, dungeon, ghost room and the basement is supposed to be hell. Also a scary movie theater run by skeletons in the attic. I think I'll turn it into a fairy house after Halloween.

I'm going to try to have it the way I had planned it in New Leaf. Maybe with some slight changes, though. For now, I have my main room as a little forest area. I haven't had luck finding fall DIYs, though. :/ I may just start having to buy them for TBT or something if anybody has extra.

I just did a bedroom with a bath in my alt's house. It's not totally finished. I'm going to put a few fallen maple leaf piles (the bright red ones to match the rest of the room) once I get access to that DIY.

It's one of the smaller side rooms. I actually really like them. They're cozy:)

My main has a pretty traditional setup (Second floor: bedroom. Center room: living room. Three small rooms: kitchen, library, workshop). I'm trying some different things with the alt houses though.

Here's how I decorated my house:

ALL MY ROOMS

Main room. Cozy cabin
Upstairs. Old western kitchen
Downstairs. Explorers room
Back room. Reese and Cyrus suite
Bathroom. Fish
Left room. Teenage fifties. It's red and pink.

Honey bears house.

Upstairs is fifties diner/ Halloween party
Basement. Safari
Kitchen is red and black. Thinking of making it Valentine's themed.
Right room looks like a child's pirate room.
Back room is teddy bear fireworks picnic.
Main room is cute, but I plan on redecorating it Christmas themed.

Creepy Hazel's house.

Haunted bar in the basement.
Haunted wedding in main room.
Creepy bathroom.
Kitchen needs work.
Upstairs dining room is fancy, but creepy.

Main room is the inside of a ships cabin.

Then the rest are the places it takes you on adventure, a forest garden upstairs... under the sea downstairs, a desert oasis room, a tropical island room and an outerspace room.

I barely have my house decorated right now. But currently my left room is creatures I still have to donate to Blathers (I tend to save big or nice ones for specific days like Halloween and my birthday). My right now is stuffed with butterflies to have Flick turn into statues, plus the completed statues. My main room is completely bare. My back room is my bedroom.

And my attic is an spooky halloween altar with all the rare bugs (scorpions and other high sellers) to sell to Flick when he comes. I don't hunt for them specifically, but I am saving them.

I don't have a basement. My house loan isn't paid off from the attic either.

I am planning on making a bookcase to block off one of the rooms since the house is almost too big for my liking.

All of my rooms are pretty empty apart from the black hallway walls, and grey argyle flooring, with some rattan furniture. :)

In a slump. LOL

My main room is a combination of living room and kitchen. My second floor is a combination of my bedroom and study. The rest are single rooms: bathroom, music room, arts & craft room, and a randomly themed picnic scene/saharah basement - too lazy to come up with something for this and I don't like the rectangular rooms.

My house is done up pretty realistically. My main is a living room with a work station that looks a bit shabby right now, with old wallpaper, spiderwebs, and old flooring.

Back room is a bathroom/laundry. It looks like it belongs in a cabin for the fall.

Right side is the only one I don't change. That's my stillroom with plants, a chemistry set, table for notes, etc.

Left side is the kitchen. I had it all pink and white, which I loved, but I darkened things up a bit for fall. My friend came over and said it had "Italian mama vibes". Funny how changing the wall and appliance colors can change the whole feel.

Upstairs used to be very cheery yellow and white for my bedroom/sitting area. Now it is very Cabin in the Woods. Pine-knot wall and floor, dark log furniture, lots of earth tones. It's my favorite room, right now.

Basement used to be a fantasy room, done as a beachy-witch getaway. I've changed it completely into a Hufflepuff common room. Honey-colored wood, yellows, plants, and it's quite cozy.

I'll probably change things up again when December rolls around, even if it's just changing color schemes. Winter chalet, perhaps?

currently my main room is my kitchen/lounge area (still needs a lot of work on the kitchen area), the room straight up is my bathroom, and the room to the left is my bedroom. I've only just started so I don't have a lot of space just yet but hopefully will be able to expand soon!!

my main room is just a general room! it's kind of a mess but i've been too busy recently to redo it - i was originally planning to change it seasonally but that hasn't been working out LOL. we will see what happens to that one. it's very functional though, i find that i use the DIY table in there a lot.

my left room is a kitchen!

my right room is a bathroom! there's all the bathroom essentials (complete with sink, toilet, both tub and shower), as well as some plants and some laundry stuff. i also hung the art from the fishing tourney in there.

the back room is a guest bedroom! it's yellow and brown themed, and it has a fireplace and some plants as well! wanted to go very sunny and cozy with it! i used the luna bed and writing desk for it.

the top floor is the very modern master bedroom (left side) and the living room (right side)! on the left, there's a large bed/bedside tables etc. as well as a little study/work area with a desk, chair, and whiteboard, and the right side has the entire box sofa set in a U shape, a TV (with the Switch under it), a fridge, and some workout equipment.

and my basement is the room that has changed the most - it was a gym, then it was recipe storage, then it was a very formal music room, and now it looks like my basement in real life! there's a kitchen island, a tool shelf, a deep freezer, a sofa, and a table and chairs with a board game!

none of my house is cohesive HAHAH but i think they look quite cute!

main room: living room (fireplace & seating area with some plants and chairs around, along with some boats and coats by the entrance)
back room: kitchen & eating area
left room: bathroom (decorated with mermaid set)
right room: garage & laundry room (will keep my crafting table here bc a garage to me is kinda like a place where u keep trash, tools, and weird outside equipment like bikes & lawnmowers)
upstairs/attic: bedroom w/ a little work space/office
downstairs/basement: a storage room & tv room hybrid (lots of cardboard boxes, weird furniture, & old workout equipment on the left side of the room with the right being dedicated to a seating area and tv; each side is separated by wooden panels)

Main Room - Heart of the Mystic Forest
Currently I'm trying to get my HHA points up, so I've been trying to use "rare" furniture like the spooky and wedding sets in here. I think they actually look kinda niced together, it's a little eery but not straight up halloween-y.

West Room - City Anitque
Again, trying to rack up HHA points this room will definitely change once I've got all the rewards. I kinda like the antique look with the cityscape background, I used the chocolate floor as well which I think works really well with the dark wood antique furniture. I do have more antique furniture but I'm using it outdoors and I don't want to overcrowd the room.

North Room - Swamp Camp
I was running out of furntiure at this point... so I just used whatever I thought looked decent together... Will change this room when I have some inspiration and/or more furniture options

East Room - Trash Town
I've had this room theme since the start! The music playing is K.K. Salsa which gives the room a laidback feeling.

Upstairs - Asleep Under the Sea
My favourite room, this is the kind of room I'd love to have in real life. I love calming under sea aesthetics, and the Moai head is a must have for me as I love those! I use this room mainly for visiting dream addresses.

Basement - Jungle Lounge (With Ruins)
My second favourite room (I like the long rooms I think!) I really like jungle themes in general, so I had to have a jungle style room. I love the mix of lounge and bedroom with the ruins I've made, wish I could have some more furniture to match (rattan furniture rarely shows up in my shop, and even rarer still in the right colour)

My house is a mess... Which I don't mind, since my home is the last thing I get around to in any given AC game.

The only room I put any effort into besides my bathroom is my 'bedroom', which is a soft-recreation/reimagining of my actual IRL workspace.

My main room is kind of a generic living room. There's a TV in the corner, a fireplace, Melba and Tangy's pictures on the mantle. I have some awards on display, a DIY table, my pet coelacanth, and a bookshelf in the back that isn't covering anything suspicious.

My left room is the kitchen. I rarely ever use this room, it's mostly for decoration. I used to use my fridge to change clothes.

My right room is the office. It has a couple desks, my computer, some storage. Nothing special.

My back room is definitely not my stalker/turnip room. There aren't any security monitors on the wall that I use to spy on my town. It's just a nonexistent room where I store turnips.

My basement is the arcade. There's some board games and arcade games, a TV, and a music area. The walls also display my poster collection, and I almost completely filled them with my entire collection of villagers' posters.

My second floor is the bedroom. There isn't much furniture besides my bed, TV, music player, fan, and closet. The wall displays posters of all the current and former residents of Bristöl, with the 10 current at the top and 11 former on the bottom.
