Dumb Mistake :(

Just picked up my game for the first time since summer... I played it safe, making a new file to check if anyone had moved (they hadn't) before I opened my main file. I had bedhead, so I went to get a haircut, but accidentally got the wrong one. I reset, and upon opening the game again, realized the time was off a couple months from previous time traveling, so I fixed it, then opened my main file. I'm sure you can see where this is going...

Blanche moved away--and not just any Blanche, but the Blanche who had moved out of my old town into my little sister's town and then into my new one after I reset

I'm feeling very unmotivated to get back to work on my town now, since it would take forever to cycle Blanche back in when I only have 2 non-dream villagers left, and it wouldn't be the same Blanche. But I also don't wanna reset my town yet again and have to deal with moving all my stuff and re-unlocking all the shops. Considering trying out save editing to try to salvage my interest and keep me entertained until New Horizons... Anyone else ever deal with something like this?

that sucks, i’m sorry

i had this happen to me back when new leaf was relatively still uh .. new lmao. i had beau in my town and he was (and still is) one of my favourite villagers and i absolutely adored him. but then i didn’t play for two weeks due to a sprained ankle and depression so when i finally played again, i discovered that beau had left. i was absolutely devastated and unmotivated to continue - what i wound up doing was buying a whole new game and starting over there.

i’m not saying you have to go out and buy a whole new game lol; you’re right, even if you did manage to cycle blanche back it still wouldn’t be the same one that left, so that leaves you with a couple options; you could try to continue in your current town even though blanche’s gone just to keep you entertained for the next month, or maybe find another game until you can get your hands on new horizons?

anyways im rambling; i’m sorry you lost one of your dream villagers though, i know how bad that feels but on a positive note, at least you’ll be able to see blanche in new horizons and have her live on your island there :3

I'm sorry about all that! But I totally understand how you feel. Tia moved on my entire orchard. Walt left me. Marshal refused to move in one of the four spots I picked for him. Etc, etc.

I've had villagers give me such a hard time again and again. lol

Good luck with trying to fix things. Don't give up on your town, though!

this happened to me but with Sydney. I was playing on my sisters old 3DS because I wanted to do club Tortimer (I was super bored
and my ds as parental controls restricting that stuff) Not realizing that her ds was like a month in the future so when I played next on my ds Sydney was gone :c anyone else I probably wouldn't have been so mad but as if to taunt me she showed up on mainstreet THE FLIPPING NEXT DAY
