:lemon: Hello! :lemon:
I've noticed how many want their towns to be looked at for advice and/or feedback, so I came up with a solution. You dream of the person whose post is above yours and once you dream of it, you edit your post saying how you feel about it. However, if the person above you has not reviewed the person above them or doesn't plan to, skip to the person who last did a review that way they will not get skipped. This way we can all get the feedback we want and have fun dreaming of other towns as well.

I think this is a great idea and I will go first.

I will say that my town is super messy though at the moment. Its going through many transitions, but I would still appreciate a visit and feedback!

Edit: ugh sry I'm on my tablet and just posted this long thing and tried to add pics then losdt everything so I'm bummed. I'll come back and edit tomorrow sry. I liked your town though it was very nice

*******************************************************************

Your paths are very nicely laid all over your town. I think they are perfect actually. I love the little areas you are trying to create. I also like the choice of your path. I like your elegant minimalist style, yet I think there's a way you should be able to add more personality to your town and make it unique. What I'm trying to say, keep doing what your doing now, but just more. I feel like maybe you are holding back a bit.

Be sure to make space for at least a second house, bc I don't think you planned space for that. I would also like to see more trees and pwps.

Another thing I loved about your town is all over your hybrids. You have so many flowers (in a good way) and you paired the hybrids types/colors nicely! Looking forward to see how your town evolves!

I'll dream of your town! :)
I was hoping more people would participate...

I love waking up to a cute path, it is adorable!
I really like the symmetrical light posts in front of your town hall, it really adds to it; especially since both have the fairytale theme.
I find your villagers to be perfect for your town, super cute!

One thing I suggest is to make sure your paths don't have a random one space dent in them, like the one near the lighthouse, or are you planning on putting something there?
I wish to see more trees, it certain areas it seems bare.

I like you are keeping the fairytale theme throughout your town, it has so much potential. It was fun visiting.

I would totally do this but I've only been playing for about 3 months so my town leaves a lot to be desired.

just updated my town during a thunderstorm.

Town:
Likes:
-rain!
-red cosmos and carnations. never seen that combo before. might have to try it.
-nice flower combos all around
-Reset Center in the corner
-statue fountain
-cube sculpture area

Dislikes:
-the lighthouse isn't really visible from the path
-the wisteria trellis is off by itself
-same for metal bench

Solange's House:
Likes:
-seaside house

Dislikes:
-mostly empty and oddly arranged; it just doesn't feel like it's been given anywhere near the same attention as the town

Suggestions:
-IMPROVE YOUR HOUSE!!
-move the path closer to the lighthouse
-move the path or trellis so that the path goes through it
-remove a few flowers from:
*in front of the hammock
*in front of the town map
*between the path to, and in front of, the metal bench
*the space between the sidewalk and picnic basket
-love the town in the rain, but would also love to see the town at night given how many streetlamps there are

Final Thoughts: Your town is absolutely beautiful, with a few small quirks. This led to the player home interior being very disappointing. For that I'll separate my ratings, rather than an overall one.

Rating: Town: 4.75/5 House: 1/5

Yukari.
I am absolutely floored by Marisa's basement. I would spoil what lies down there but it is absolutely astounding. It's really something, the ideas and concepts that players have created. This is one of the best concepts I've seen.

The basement and 2nd floor room on Reimu's house were impressive. A cloud/sky theme on the 2nd floor and the ice theme in the basement. I liked that. The Gyroids that were used in the basement were a fantastic touch to creating atmosphere.

All of the houses were very decorated. Gyroids were used in very creative and effective ways. The town layout is very precise and there is such meticulous detail in every spot of the town. I enjoyed the bamboo forest spread around the town hall. The imperial theme was nice & the villager layout was excellent. Even the town layout is enviable.

If the paths are followed, you won't get stuck anything like trees or bushes. However, there were times I wandered off the paths and wound up stuck and just walking into obstructed bushes until I found a spot to get out and return to the pathway.

The beach was a beautiful sight. All of the hybrids. Terrific. I personally didn't care for the rain. I would have preferred a morning hour, however, I'm sure it was your choice and I respect that artistic decision.

There is a lot to see. Public works projects, bushes, bamboo and pathways. I'm just now seeing the picnic blanket designs you have placed just South of the plaza. I like that. It's an awe inspiring town. Definitely one to be proud of. It inspires me. Just like Fruitcups' town. It make me want to go back to my village and start renovating like mad.

I don't want to rate the town or the houses cause I'm sure I won't be satisfied with whatever grade I give.
The village is a wonder. My favorite part is the bamboo forest. I absolutely love that. I love how some sections of the village have something unique going on.
The homes were good. A couple rooms stood out. I mentioned them above. Marisa's basement was the best room. The concept and it's execution. The use of insects and how they were placed seamlessly. I forget who's basement it was, I think it was Yukari's basement; the room that had the cauldron and the use of gargloid's. The Gyroids were used so effectively. & I can really appreciate that. A truly wonderful village. Thank you.

Which town do I dream of then? I guess Yukari's since it's above me..? I'll go now and update this post!
Edit: I did visit Yukari's town yesterday, I'll visit Stanley's when I have time, I forgot to update this ^^;
It was a nice town. I liked a lot of the zen aspects. I've been toying with the idea of doing a zen town myself. My favorite spots were this room and little bench:

HNI_0073.JPG

I feel like the paths were a bit crazy and confusing at times, but you did have a lot of trees and bushes and bamboo growing so it did have a bit of a foresty feel to it and I usually get lost in stuff like that anyways >< One thing I didn't necessarily dislike, this isn't a critique I just felt like I was lost to some of the aspects of your theme. Like with the two characters you were shipping I just didn't get what you were referencing but that's just my ignorance. ^^; Not a bad town overall.

Right now I'm visiting MightyMunchlax's town, Ophylix. Take anything (other than the good things I point out, with a grain of salt; you saw how bad I'm at at landscaping ><).

Likes:
-Flower color choices for each area they bordered. Very beautiful!
-Path layout ~ very neat; when I tried using a path, it didn't really connect the areas that I did cover very well (it looked a bit messy (I only used one type of path). Easy to navigate without trampling/walking on your flowers.
-Each different type of fruit being in different locations (all the cherries with the cherries, oranges with the oranges, etc.)
-Placement of public works very nice.

Dislikes:

I'll have to revisit it because I honestly can't think of anything at the moment that I didn't like.

Other comments

Ruby's House: Still under construction?

Caterina's House: It was difficult for me to find where the path was to get to the house; the trees and bushes partially blocked it from view. While some of the rooms didn't "stand out" to me; I think it's just because I personally am not a fan of some of the furniture (it didn't have much to do with the way you designed the place), I really liked the little diner are; very cute! I see what you were going for though with the house. I do like the creativity that was put into this house. :]

HNI_0053 (2).JPG

Phoebe's House: The main room looked very traditional (is that the right word?) and reminded me of the type of dining rooms you'd see in old television shows. Anyways, I liked it even though it didn't really "stand out" or strike my eye ~ like the furniture color, or the furniture type; but I thought that in this case, I really liked this. I do like seeing rooms that reflect something from the past--history, or just having an antique/vintage feel to it (if that makes any sense). I think my favorite room was the room on the right.

I don't know what else to say other than it's a beautiful town and I'm really impressed.

OMG i love your outfit! Oh and I finally updated my original post :D

giving this a bump

Yukari your town is so interesting, it was the longest I stayed in a dream I think, and I never visit every room of every house but in this case I did. You've inspired me to use gyroids, which I only use to decorate around town and never in my house.

I will dream of the town above mine now.

Edit: Dream of Aprairie

This is obviously a work in progress, a really good one!

Lots of hybrids, need rearranging but tons of potential.

Nice path, town is more developped in certain parts, a little less in others.

I'm so jealous of your PWPs!!! There are some I'm still waiting to have suggested!!!

Keep up the good work and make sure you updrage your dream regularly.

I'm hopping a little out of order here, as it seemed as though Stanley deserved a review for his town of Histin, given he got inadvertently skipped.

I woke up in a strange place. Looked like it mighta' been the wrong side of the tracks. Since pink ain't the new black, I hastily cobbled together an outfit out of a dumpster by the train station. I hoped I'd fit in better and no one would ask questions I wasn't prepared to answer.
Histin 1.JPG

Right away I could tell something was up. The locals were acting cagey, like. I could hear the air quotes around "civic leader".
Histin 2.5.JPGHistin 2.JPG

Nothing for it but to go straight to the source. The house of the Big Guy himself. I almost fell prey to the "vintage-camera-flashbulb-sets-off-cannon-and-BLAMMO" trick but used my old duck-and-roll routine to infiltrate the Big Guy's inner sanctum.
Histin 3.JPG

This was the office of a man that does not expect he'll be questioned. He knows that folks'll jump to do him a favour if he asks.
Histin 4.JPG

They said he was a close, personal friend of Warhol. I believed 'em.
Histin 5.JPG

His Warhol is now a close, personal friend of mine and I'm on the first bus outta' here.

Stanley, your house was great! You get a sense of a mayor with some refined tastes and an adventurous, dangerous streak.

Townwise, I really liked the minimalist vibe of your paths. Clean and easy to navigate the town. Nice and wide. I was surprised there weren't more trees, but that's likely because every town and its mother-town has lots of trees nowadays. That said, I enjoyed the contrast between some of the more open areas and the spots where you had an orchard lining your path. Flowerwise, in some spots, your carpet of flowers made me think of an illuminated manuscript (the bits where your flowers were mixed more haphazardly). I liked the random spots of flowers more than the places where they're all lined up according to colour, though that's definitely striking. The little picnic area near Lolly is a nice, colourful little spot. I also really liked that you used some less-often-seen PWPs, including the cube sculpture, which to me matched the feeling of your mayor's house. I'm guessing that you're still working away on things and would be interested in seeing what you do with your town in future!
Cheers,
VS

okay here we goooo~ (im not good with reviews so sorry!!!)
HNI_0034.JPG
Starts off with a huge tree and the clothes, the clothes are okay but could be better~

I hit the town and there is one small problem i have with the paths. They're sometimes hard to see especially in the west side of town. Other than that, the whole town is beautiful and has well placed pwps! I really love the front of the town the most!
HNI_0054.JPG

So next are the houses. Two of them seemed like some of the items were placed for the heck of it (and sorry i cant remember the names of the owners), like this room.
HNI_0042.JPG
I get its a zodiac room but I feel like they could be placed better.

the other two I really loved; the nature-ish home and the one with the classic main room!
HNI_0052.JPG HNI_0038.JPG

Overall, I really loved your town and i hope i wasnt too harsh! I give the town a 7.5/10!

Aw. No one did mine :/ Mine is a mess anyways; I started yesterday to move my flowers and cutting down trees so I can start landscaping from scratch. :/

Starts off very simple and unassuming. Props for the 2pm theme, though.

My first meeting with a villager didn't go over very well. I think he has rabies.

Robin's house shows that she must be popular to have all these pics so soon. Had to turn on the Gyroid though.

Channeling City Folk here with all this grass wear. A lot of work was put into these natural paths, I can tell.

In vain, I tried to steal a black cosmos for myself. (I can't grow those dumb things to save my life)

Found this lovely pirate room with the most un-pirate music ever. KK Adventure or bust!

Looks a little unfinished, but this is the prettiest outdoors spot, in my opinion.

Tent looks nicer inside than I'd have guessed.

Favorite room in Amanda's house. I like the colors of that rococo bed, and the stained glass is pretty, too.

Felt like too much of a work in progress to say much on it. I'm sure it'll look great in the coming months, but right now it's really hard to give it a rating.

Thanks! :] Yeah, I know it is; I posted a topic on figuring out how to deal with the landscape and I'm starting to do what was suggested. It's just going to take a long time... lol. As for my other characters, they're just my storage helpers :P. I had been working on Dunq for a few months, but it got difficult focusing on two characters at the same time, so, I stopped working on his house. And the quote is a WoW reference. Here's a picture of what says that:

I still appreciated that you took the time to visit and make observations. Any comments really help. :]

Pheenic
Town of Ravia, Mayor Blaze
I liked waking up to such a unique path tile, seeing the symmetrical trees beneath me was nice too. The detail of the water paths was stunning, it looks great. The map is very unique as well, being able to see the waterfall is a big plus. I find some areas to be fairly empty, like behind retail maybe fill it with more trees or a pwp. I really liked the log are underneath the pond, it looks very cozy. I feel as though the illusion of the stairs does not really work well in front of the bridge located a bit after the train station, it doesn't make much sense for it to work. You have nice flower combinations, and many; I just wish you had more hybrids to complement them. My favorite area of your town was the zen area, it really works. Your town is coming along great, with a few extra tree and flowers I think it would be perfect.
P.S. It was fun dressing as a maid. (:

MrGameAndScotch
Town of Pallet
At the beginning I did not really understand the giant tiles, then I realized it was tetris (right?) which is a nice idea. I like the custom cut out stand you made, it is a nice detail when you know the owner of the town made it vs a random qr code. Your path is so colorful, it make everything so happy. I like how Wally matches with his house, I have never seen that done before; it's adorable. I like your beach and the cosmos used, I feel as though there are one too many beach towels though. I like how some of the outfits of the villagers match the town, I have been wanting to do that. The play area seems a bit barren, it would look more friendly with some flowers. I like how your path keeps everything in reach, this is a huge plus in my book. My favorite part of your town is the path that starts near the windmill and takes you up to the police station, it looks so great. My only complaint, is that I wish there was more of a variety on the pwp used. Your town is so much fun (especially searching for the wetsuit), I bet it looks great on a sunny day.
