Don't you hate it when you accidentally upset villagers?

A few days ago I was trying to get to Town Hall and I had to walk through this tiny path to get their quickly, and a villager was in the way(Stitches), so I kept pushing and then she turns around and tells me it's not nice to push people, then she walked away all gloomy. I felt so bad, I didn't know they knew when you pushed them out the way :c

I figured that out recently, too! Limberg was upset with me after trying to push him out of the way and I felt totally bad.. poor guy. But I always feel bad when I see my villagers upset with those gloomy, purple clouds around their heads.

I hate it when a villager makes some ridiculous request of me (like for a rainbow stag) and I turn them down and they get upset And I also turn them down when they say "can I come over later?" because I know I won't remember to come on. I still haven't gotten a picture from anybody in New Leaf and this makes it even harder.

I had this sad little encounter yesterday ... Merengue pinged me and came running over to talk all excited and happy ... I was holding my net in my hand and each time I pressed A to talk to her, I accidentally bonked her with my net ... She went off in a sad huff! *sigh*

I find it so hard to turn down my villagers because they get so upset when you do. I can't please everybody unfortunately.

I do hate it...thankfully, it rarely happens, as I'm very careful not to bump my villagers and almost always am willing to help them out w/ something. Very rare(if ever) that I turn them down.

i know this is just game but there was one time i can't remember who the villager or what the request was but when i saw that purple cloud it just made me so sad.so i too try to meet every request talk to all the villagers.and i've gotten some pictures in the end.

Same! I've done it several times, unintentionally...especially with Zell. I'll turn down a trade request with him and he'll say something like, "Fine. I guess my poem wasn't good enough" or something like that. I'm all, "Aw! Zell! Come back! I'm sorry!"

Yeah, I don't like making them sad. It usually happens when I have something to sell in Retail later and they ask me to sell it to them and I tell them no. Or if they request me to catch some bug or fish that's too rare and I say no. The smug villagers seem to be especially hard hit from refusals. Sorry for breaking your heart Eugene. :'(

It's a good thing they don't get mad after the first time you hit them, otherwise I would have made a LOT of them upset on accident lol

OMG, yes. I hit them once by accident all the time! I always take their requests but feel bad when I can't fulfill it or forget a visit. At least they don't OFTEN ask for coalcanth...

I also feel bad when they get upset after talking to another villager. ; w; Sometimes I feel like I have to punish one of them by not fulfilling their request because they made my other baby upset.

No, you're saving it by keeping them where they are loved and appreciated. You are also saving them from possibility of the Void.
