Don't you hate it when you accidentally upset villagers?

No, you're saving it by keeping them where they are loved and appreciated. You are also saving them from possibility of the Void. :)

Oh my. Even I needed to hear this. Whenever I TT to try and get a villager cycled out to make room for my dreamies, and one of the villagers I love asks to move, I feel REALLY bad asking them to stay because some of them will ask more often than others and I feel like I am keeping them against their will. ; w ; Thanks for that, even thought it was meant for someone else.

That was how I felt when I first began my town. And now I kind of regret why I let Bam and Static go >~<

Especially Lazy villagers when they want the 'secret spy' catchphrase, and I reject it because I don't want to change their sayings. Then they get all upset :c

Yes, especially when I'm trying to donate stuff to the museum.

My smugs always get sad whenever I get a rare fish and I never agree to give it to them.

I always feel bad for them, but... I'm sorry but my MUSEUM NEEDS TO GROW.

Yesterday Poppy wanted to see my house and O'Hare wanted me to see his house. I forgot about both of them.. (OPS!)

I hate turning down villager requests and seeing them get all disappointed and stuff, but damnit if I'm going to let them put a big ass whale shark in their tiny 1x1 house.. ><

I try not to upset mine as well.
Bug & fish requests - up to now I've always accepted, even when I know its going to be difficult to fullfill (plus you only have the day to complete it, not like in acww when you had I think 3 days).
Apparently at least one Japanese guide says that it is better to refuse a request than to accept and not fullfill - in friendship level terms.
I accept and often don't fulfill, and maybe unsurprisingly have only one villager pic.

Villager asking to come over to visit or you to visit them and requesting a time - I accept and then when the fix the time box comes up, I quit without setting a time - they say OK, some other time then. They don't get sad.
Certainly doesn't raise friendship level but hoping it remains neutral.
Still gvien I've only one pic, maybe not such good advice!

I hate it when a villager makes some ridiculous request of me (like for a rainbow stag) and I turn them down and they get upset :( And I also turn them down when they say "can I come over later?" because I know I won't remember to come on. I still haven't gotten a picture from anybody in New Leaf and this makes it even harder.

I just accept those requests regardless, and if I manage to do it, great...if not, then oh well. I haven't noticed any problem with the villagers if I don't manage to fulfill their request, and they don't sulk or anything.

Also, when a villager asks to come over (or for me to visit), I wait on turning them down (since I, too, know I'll either forget or just won't be playing the game in an hour) until the clock appears (where you can set a time). They usually aren't too disappointed.
I've done this even with villagers whose pics I don't have, and they're typically like "well, okay; next time, then!".

I know right? I was trying to call Soleil through megaphone while I was next to Rod, but then Rod thought I was calling him and yelled at me....

I know right? They can be such whiny little babies sometimes.

I tend to be bad at telling them I will do something and then not do it. I didn't know that it effected friendship level or w/e. Now I know. Perhaps that's why I never got any villager picks. I am also VERY bad with remembering when I am supposed to go over/ when they are supposed to come over. I try to do an hour after they suggest but no matter what I almost always forget. I will need to learn a trick for that, even thought they usually just say "oh okay" If I say no.

I rushed to give Fauna a perfect cherry and accidentally gave her a rotten one. She was both angry and disappointed at me.
I don't really mind though.

Sometimes I purposely give villagers rotten fruit so I can get rid of them without having to pay the recycle fee.

Once Fang asked me for some fruit, so I thought it'd be cool to give him a Coconut. Turns out he can't bite into it and it isn't considered a fruit.... :(

I was once playing around with the megaphone, trying to get Molly's attention so she would look at me and wave, and she ended up walking by right as I said her name, and so the sound went right in her ears. D: I was so upset because she didn't get angry at me (because I dunno I guess if she was angry at me that would make me feel better), she just got really sad and upset. I felt so bad, I sent her an apology letter.

I accidently did that to Zell Snake a couple of weeks back, and he got all sad and gloomy. I felt so bad :c

I had this sad little encounter yesterday ... Merengue pinged me and came running over to talk all excited and happy ... I was holding my net in my hand and each time I pressed A to talk to her, I accidentally bonked her with my net ... She went off in a sad huff! *sigh* :(

LOL, this happens to me too. ; w; I always feel terrible.

Always, I tend to always pick answers or do anything that won't upset a character.
