Mine both do. My dad loves Dead Or Alive, Tekken and other fighting games. They also both love playing fruit ninja on the iPad.

My mum really likes the legend of Zelda and professor Layton series :3

My mum didn't really play video games when I was little but she encouraged me playing stuff like Animal Crossing and Pokemon to improve my reading skills.

It's a shame that more people don't see these sorts of benefits in video games and encourage their children to play them, rather than complain about how they should read a book.

When I was younger my dad did sometimes. He was pretty much only ever interested in racing games. When we got our first DS my parents played Brain Age and Picross and thaaaaat's basically it. Trying to teach my dad the controls for a game that uses both analog sticks is not fun at all.

My dad did when I was younger, mostly car/racing games or Halo.

I want a father who plays Halo!

My parents both hate videogames. An old friend had a mother who played Zelda; A Link To The Past pretty much non stop for a long time. Everytime I came over, she asked me to come sit with her and help her out through the game. It really bit a big hole in the time I was able to spend with that friend though.

But thats ok, since his mom was ten times as much fun to hang out with.

My Dad plays Half Life, Max Payne, and 1984. He was the stay-at-home parent when I was little, so I watched Half Life 1 completely played through before I was like, 8. I like Half Life a LOT, but other than that, I'm really not good at first-person-shooters. He plays Half Life 2 and all the extra episodes like, all the time.

My dad used to play Half-Life, Max Payne, and all of those great old PC games back in the day.

He doesn't play that much anymore. :

My Dad is a casual gamer but he's bought alot of consoles in my lifespan so he's played alot of video games, not so much these days but still.

My Mother used to rarely play games, but she'd play like Bomberman and Mario Kart 64 while she was alive, that is.

only my mom, she used to be a hardcore player back in the day. now she only plays casual games lol

my dad played Doom when me and my brother were young and my mom hated it because ~exposing the children to violence~ but we loved watching anyway. he doesn't play anymore, though. (i'm lowkey trying to get him into bioshock but we'll see)

My dad plays stupid games like Battlefield 4.

My mom use to play the Nancy Drew games for PC. Now she just plays games she can download on her Ipad.

my mom and dad both played video games which is what got me into them
my mom is into racing games and plays need for speed, crusin usa (old af), etc
my dad would play all of those games along with grand theft auto, and everything my brother and i would play
we'd go to gamestop every friday after my dad got paid and pick out a new game each (i'd usually pick gamecube/n64 games, while my brother would get ps2 games - this was like up to 2007 i'm talking about as something happened which made me stop playing video games as much so) and to this day i still have most/all of the games in my basement cx
my favorite game would have probably been kirby air ride or super mario sunshine prob

My dad used to.
kinda funny story, back in the 90s my dad had a snes and Earthbound along with some other games (he mentioned some racing games and fighting ones, and called the earthbound one some "game where you save the world from aliens and beat people up with bats") lmao. and what does he do with the earthbound game....he trades it to his friend for a BICYCLE. -_-
if he had kept that game i would have been able to play it, it's so hard to find now and expensive. :(
he got me and my brother a n64 when we were young.
my mom didnt even know how to turn on a computer but eventually i taught her. she's played some animal crossing with me before and she thought it was cute.
