ahh :( it makes me super anxious i dont know why especially villager trades or large trades taking place in my town i get super nervous im going to mess something up

It's pretty awkward for me... I never know what to say and the messaging system only makes it worse cause it takes so long to send replies.

yeah lol the chatting is really uncomfortable too >.< wish it was ok to just let ppl pick up their stuff on their own and leave without saying anything

a big- yes.
only because i'm concerned about d/c'ing and, though i consider myself pretty adept at the stupid keyboard they give us, the messaging system takes forever. how am i supposed to cram my information in that little of text spaces anyways? i caaaaaaaan't~

its not great, but imo its probably one of the better game text chat interfaces.... barring the character limit which can get in the way

only thing I can think of thats better is an actual keyboard

Not at all. I've made several hundred of those, and I actually enjoy them.

As for the larger ones? Still doesn't bother me.

That's the problem. With the short character limit I always have to type multiple replies to say what I need and with that it starts getting a bit confusing.

A bit when doing big trades, especially if it starts to lag then it seems like its going to disconnect, I don't mind going back to re-drop everything/pick up bells,I just don't want the other person to get mad at me for some reason, and I feel a bit awkward standing there if I have items in letters, because it takes a bit of time getting everything out of the letters lol But I don't mind the chat, because I always talk to my friend on there and have learned to get used to typing on it xD

Never. I'm pretty sure the people that were trading with me had some concerns or anxiety though.

Oh geez, same with me. I never know what to say or anything like that. Especially when to end. Do I just end it right after we get our items? Do I say something? Before and after I think of everything to do just right but during my mind goes numb. I'm so nervous and embarrassed.

Not really, cause the trades don't usually take a long time. Our net is sometimes really bad though and I'm always worried that it might start lagging and then disconnect. That happened few times when trading and it's soo annoying.

It used to, but I've done quite a few by now and I actually kind of like it. Usually I prefer going to other people's towns because I'm shy about my messy WIP town, but having someone over to pick up a villager wasn't bad at all, so in the future I might feel better about being the host more often.

I generally try to condense it into the bare basics in that case

anything lengthy I'll just give info needed in the thread current trade transaction is being done in

Trades made me feel pretty nervous in the beginning. Mostly because I was worried I'd make people wait for too long. Like not getting to their town quick enough, not opening my gates quick enough, not dropping bells quick enough, etc... But I know I was far more worried about that than the people I've been trading with, haha.

Chances are, you're anxious about things other people really don't care about. You said you're worried about messing things up? Would you be angry if another person made an honest mistake? Probably not. :)

Most people on this forum are really lovely and won't give you a hard time for mistakes, if you were to make one. And I'm sure you'll find yourself getting more comfortable with trading as you do it more often!

The only thing with trading that "bothers" me is that awful chat system. I'd love to say more to people than a simple "hello", followed by "thanks" and then "bye", but the system doesn't really allow you to say much more than that. That can make things slighty awkward.
