I like having a mixture, though I usually have a preference for the extremes. Either the animal is towering above my character or my character towers above the animal (talking to you penguins, frogs, and hamsters).
Not to me! I love all sizes of animals, and my only qualifications are:
• Are they nice?
that’s it, those are the qualifications. In all seriousness, I never really thought about it, I usually have a variety of animals ranging from wolves to ducks. I honestly never thought about how I chose my characters tbh
I think I generally like the little villagers best; I really love the hamsters and I like the bunnies a lot too (are they little or medium? Idk, but they look little to me.) I’ve never had ducks yet, but they are another adorable mini villagers species. I really want to like the squirrels as well but have not yet found a design that speaks to me. Considering trying out sylvana and Sally at some point. Saw Hazel, who I expected to dislike, on a mystery island and I have to admit her tiny size really contributed to her surprising cuteness. Ditto on frogs.
however I have discovered more recently that I like the big cuddly types as well, namely the bears and hippos. Rhinos have also really grown on me.
And yeah, I love Bangle she’s like the villager rep of my island.
if it wasn’t for my love of my faves, I think it would be fun and hilarious to have a bears and hamsters island. - but maybe bubbles would be the peppy because I like her more than the peppy bears. (Pinky has grown on me though and her house is really great)
so yeah, unrelatedly, I still want to be able to have 15-20 villagers even though it would make the game take up even more of my life and destroy my island layout.
My favourite sizes of villager are the big bears. But I don't have a huge preference. However, I wish there were villagers the size of Katie from New Leaf. That would be too cute!
I like to have a mix of the sizes for sure. But especially when it comes to the bears and cubs I think there's something really cute about having one of each and watching them interact together.
