I think Tom nook is an evil raccoon who only cares about his bells and loves to make me drown in a sea of debt

To be honest, I don’t really think he’s that bad. @/boring made a thread defending him and I agree, he’s actually a really nice guy. He seems like he only cares about money but he’s really generous. You could hypothetically go years without fully paying off your loan and he wouldn’t care, it’s only you that would have to deal with the inconveniences of having a smaller house. I don’t think someone who only cares about bells would give you as much time as you need to pay him back, with no punishments at all. That’s only one reason I think he’s a good person.

Btw I realize this is most likely a joke but I’m just giving my honest opinion on the character so no, not an r/woooosh moment

He's absolutely diabolical and probably satan himself /j. He's not that bad, as someone said above, he's actually pretty generous with the time he gives you to pay things off. That time being unlimited. But yeah, he also gets on my nerves, but I can't put my finger on why. Maybe it's the way he acts when you say you want to expand and he's just like "Ah yes, you can pay me your blood, sweat, tears, alimony, section of your grandpa's will, your life savings, and soul. Pocket change, really!"
But yeah, apart from that he's alright. Now, Lyle, on the other hand...

I think he is actually a sweet and generous guy. He adopted his nephews and helped the Label sisters, which is selfless behavior.

ALSO, some gijinka fanart of him (as a human) make him a cute chubby guy, which I love! So if he was a person…wow! 😍

He doesn't charge interest. You can pay whatever, whenever. He's a saint compared to real life lenders.
