TBT is celebrating the start of the Year of the Horse! Our latest event, TBT's Lunar New Year for 2026, is now underway! Meanwhile, we invite you to share your feedback for the forum in the February 2026 Survey. Thank you!
Yes, warnings and infractions come with a consequence of the loss of TBT bells. For warnings, 20tbt bells is not very much. You can make that back in and hour or less with quality posts. The loss of bells deters people from not following rules. It keeps the forum clean and friendly.
The reason you were warned was because you didn't follow a clear rule on the forum, specifically in the VTP board. Everyone who breaks a rule get's a warning. Most people have had at least one -- even the staff at some point --, it's nothing more than a reminder to follow the rules and you are in no danger of suspension from warnings (only from infractions do you run the risk of suspension if behavior doesn't change). One of the main jobs of a moderator is to dish out warnings (yellow) and infractions (red). We have to do this because we need to keep the Bell Tree a friendly place.
If you don't wish to receive anymore warnings it would be best to make sure you find and read the rules. Some boards have their own specific set of rules that go in conjunction with the regular forum Rules; you can find these rules in the stickied section of the board you are in.
