Does anyone have problems with specific flower hybrids?

I seem to get some crosses really easily, and others I've been struggling for weeks even with large patches of flowers. The things I can't get at all are blue pansies and purple tulips, which should have a theoretical 25% and 12.5% rate from my white pansies and orange tulips. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Sorry if this has been asked before - I couldn't find it

I have had an awful difficult time with purple tulips for sure. So many orange tulips, but only have gotten 2 purple tulips so far. I've had orange tulips crossing for weeks! Also have yet to get a purple rose, which is kind of a shame considering I've had the chic rose crown DIY for a while and cannot craft it yet.

Purple pansies have been an absolute nightmare for me... It took an entire month before two spawned in one evening.

How many pansies and tulips do you have setup for your breeding? You may want to consider either just planting a ton of flowers, or inviting people over to water them (as that vastly increases the spawning rate). Or, people could give the hybrids to you if you don't have anything against that (I wanted to breed all of my hybrids myself).

Yeah, I also want to breed them myself - annoying that the pansies are so completely gated on the blue ones! It's weird because other things with the same 25% chance - black tulips, black and purple roses - I seem to have no problem with, even with smaller numbers of flowers. I think I'll try inviting a friend over to water more often

If you can, try having up to 5 friends come over and water the flowers. That increases the chance exponentially.

Oh, true that, am stuck on the hyacinths too. I've only just started trying with the windflowers, looks like I have lots of frustration ahead then

I've been considering redoing the process for pansies because they don't seem to EVER spawn so I keep thinking I must have messed up somewhere

I'm having trouble breeding more of the blue hyacinths as well. I've managed to breed about 20 purple hyacinths in the time it has taken to breed 7 blue hyacinths.

The purple pansies are difficult to breed for me as well. I have about 7 of those and have about 20 blue roses; I started breeding them at the same time. :s

Definitely blue pansies, I keep getting white pansies from trying to breed blue ones and it's been 2 weeks.... blue pansies really hate me.

Green mums and blue roses gives me a hard time that my island is swamped with rose hybrids and pansies (also mums.)

The only purple flower I've gotten are purple hyacinths but that's only because hyacinths are my native flower so I was able to find an hybrid island full of oranges gimme those purple pansies pls

I can't for the life of me breed blue roses. I've tried following the guide but have had no luck. I must have planted 120+ roses before I got rid of more than half of them, because it was taking up too much space. Maybe I should just trade for them, but the completionist in me really wants to do it myself. :S

I actually had trouble with the exact same flowers you did. After a tonne of TTing and a field full of flowers I didn't get a single blue pansy/purple tulip. On the other hand, my orange cosmos and orange roses were spreading like wildfire..

I cannot for the life of me get any pink hyacinths.. The only reason I currently have any on my island is because of trading.

I'm literally trying everything, and I still can't get one. Oof, it makes me sad because they are one of my favourite flowers in the game.

Purple Hyacinths for me. I had orange hyacinths for ages, yet they dont spawn anything but more oranges or reds. Not even any hybrid blues, which would raise the chances a bit...

Also purple pansies , green mums and purple windflowers because I can't get past the first breeding stage.

I would love to grow pink tulips but its been a struggle. Pink mums also.. I guess the key is to have someone else water the flowers..
