Does anyone else here despise Autumn in AC? Just me?

Not at all! I typically LOVE autumn but September is pretty slow in AC without an update and events. You will like autumn more once the Halloween and HF updates come out. October will give us falling leaves DIYs and November is mushroom season. I love the mushroom furniture! I'm trying to be patient and not giving in to instant gratification by TT'ing

I hate autumn both IRL, and in games, the colors are putrid, I really don't understand why some people find dying plants, and cold weather without snow enjoyable, or pretty, it just looks alien, and gross to me.
I do like to call people, humans. Have been known to greet people with "Greetings Earthlings!" Also I did quote Marvin the Martian long ago as my year book quote. Maybe I am an alien.

Personally, my favorite time of the year has to do with timing. It is the second Sunday in March. Daylight Saving Time.

This is due to the fact we don’t get dark until after 08:00 p.m. And, by that point, we are on our way to even longer days of daylight. (We get the longest amount of daylight until the last week of June. That is when it peaks.)

I personally don’t mind Fall. But, I do dread the timing of it, in November, becoming dark just after 05:00 p.m. (This is Eastern Time in the U.S. I live in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan.)

A few years ago, I visited a relative in Colorado during the month of November. And it was gradually getting dark around or just after 04:30 p.m. The sun was really going down by then. I forget the timing of when it becomes dark there. But, it really took me by surprise. (I usually tended to visited during the month of June.)

I associate this period that is more dreary than cheery. That is— for wanting to get out and about, and not become dark so soon. What helps to offset this, thankfully, are the holidays in the last two months of the year.

At some point in late-December, we start going in the direction of gradually becoming lighter for longer. And I have noticed it in late-January, when it would not become dark until around 06:15 to 06:30 p.m. And I would note that we get Daylight Saving Time for Spring Forward six weeks later.

I find getting into the new year, getting deeply into January, moving into February, and arriving in March to be personally encouraging.

Yes—what makes Spring encouraging is that Summer is on its way. And one has longer to enjoy one’s day.

My favourite season is summer, so it feels a bit weird when the grass starts to yellow on the first day of September. Everything feels dull and less vibrant. I love the reddish tones mid-autumn though! And ACNH's autumn weeds are really nice!

I really disliked winter in the past games so I'm hoping I'll like it in this game. I like what I've seen so far, but the constant white blanket of snow everywhere is so blinding and boring. I see myself playing less during winter as usual.

I'm indifferent on autumn; I don't find the colors as appealing as spring and summer, but I like it more than winter

i’m actually quite fond of autumn! it’s not my favourite season (that would be winter) but i think it’s my 2nd favourite! i like watching the trees + grass gradually change colours and how warm everything looks. and while i haven’t experienced this part yet, i bet seeing the maple leaves blow around is a neat sight!

and plus,,, autumn brings halloween which i Legally have to like since i’m a ghost and also,,, halloween means jack’o’lanterns and i really like those :P

i love this time of the year, esp winter, but i can see how you think the current grass is ugly. i def prefer the orange grass later on in autumn, but change is good and i'm enjoying seeing the grass slowly transform

Autumn is my least favourite season in game. Like you I’m not keen on everything looking half dead.

Fall and the other seasons are fine. It's winter that wears thin after the first month or so. I feel like it's going to be worst in this game since the landscape is usually just one never-ending pattern. So that could mean just full on white or little differences.

*has an autumn-themed island*

I-I... love it. ;w;

I can kind of see what you’re saying in terms of the colored ground; it doesn’t seem as vibrant, but it’s still pretty nonetheless.I just enjoy the faded hues of autumn in general, so I do feel like it fits the season.

I love it. The leaves changing colors. Wearing warmer clothes and hats. Halloween coming soon. I just redecorated some areas in my town for fall. It looks so pretty.

I guess it's an unpopular opinion but I agree with you! I'm not a fan of the color scheme right now. Maybe it's because summer is my favorite season irl and in game so it makes me sad to see it go. I do start to like it more once the leaves turn red and orange later on and it gets closer to winter but we're still pretty far away from that point. I do like the sound the crickets make though!

It's odd that it took this long for me to actually hear someone say they dislike autumn for this reason.
I actually used to dislike summer (as all green everything... was just kind of boring LOL. summer finally got better in NL & became a standout season), but I think ACNH has actually done a really good job of balancing all of the seasons to have their own special draws.
If you really don't like the red/orange/yellow palette, I can see why you'd be uninterested in it. I can see how the yellowy patchiness can turn someone off.

The neon green transitions into a beautiful orange, red later on in during the season, though!

I'm kinda the exact opposite haha. I adore fall and winter in game. I'm actually those rare people that actually likes winter irl but ofc its hard to enjoy it. So walking around the the snow and making snowmen in ac helps a lot!

Fall is fine. I don't have a problem with it.

Winter is usually the season I get most bored with, even though it looks pretty.

I personally don't have any problems with it, I love the colors and warm clothes that go with it c:

I think autumn is okay. I'm excited for the new DIYs but the colors are kinda eh.

I used to love spring, especially cherry blossom season but after TTing back between summer to then, the colors are too bright in spring lol. Summer has the prettiest colors imo.

I did TT to winter for a while and I love it. The snow is fun and a great look <3
