Does anyone actually play in 3D?

The only reason I don't do it most of the time is because when I play it is usually for several hours and it drains the battery down more, so especially if I am not where I can charge it, the 3D remains off.

I admit I never do... I mean, it hurts my eyes pretty quickly, although it can be nice to look at sometimes.

I don't play in 3D because it kind of messes with my eyes. It gets a little annoying too, so I just keep it off. I've tried in 3D and the trees look like they're popping out...even though the 3D looks really good I just don't like to have it on. :(

No because the 3D gimmick is stupid for more than 3 seconds at a time.

*flip on*

ooh shiny, pretty!

*flip off*

I rarely play with the 3D on for any of my games. It's a cool feature and I like the depth it adds but it usually ends up distracting me from whatever I'm doing.

I tend to play in 2d, then I want to see pretty things (like snow, rain, rainbow, etc) then I take a look in 3d. I do also like to look at new furniture and rooms in 3d. In general, though, I don't use the 3d much.

I did find that it makes it easier to catch bugs, though. On the island when I'm bug catching . . .I use 3d. Fishing, though, seems harder.

Turned on 3D at one time but got dizzy after a few seconds so I turned it off. Doubt I'll play in 3D anymore since it gives me headaches.

I played with the 3d on until I got this game. Since I play for hours on end, it generally gives me a headache. I turned it off when I realized it. It also makes it easier for my son, who looks over my shoulder, and my husband to see what I am showing them.

I honestly think if you don't use the 3d you've wasted your money. (No offence)
I bought it for 2 reasons mainly.
1st for the 3d
2nd for Animal crossing.
So I use it all the time! I love it. makes the game look great.
...But if you move around to much it does make it hard to play. So that's the only time I turn it off. When I'm moving.

3D just puts more strain on my eyes, and I already get headaches from my glasses. :p Occasionally I'll fish in 3D, but most of the time I don't bother with it.

I NEVER use the 3D. Turning that 3D slider up is like instant nausea for me... Something about the 3D makes me instantly feel like I'm going to be sick. That being said, I also get car sick really easily too.

I only use 3D occasionally at times like night or when K.K. Slider is jammin' out

My eyes don't strain at all. However I don't play in 3D because sometimes I tilt my screen and do other things. It is fun looking at certain things in 3D.

I nearly always have it on, unless I'm setting it down while doing something else and just wandering or in bed when it makes the 'sweet spot' harder to find. And everytime I turn it back on I feel like the whole AC world becomes that bit more beautiful.

The 3D has never strained my eyes, I acctually find the opposite, with the 3D on I can zone out and stare into background depth and relax my eyes more, instead of spending ages focusing on something an arms length away. Though I do agree with the people that said it's better on AC because it's not an action game. 3D on Mario Kart annoyed me after a while as I kept losing the sweetspot because I'm moving the DS as I steer.

I kind of feel like the people who feel it strains their eyes are looking at the screen as if it is a 2D screen, instead of looking at it the same way you'd look through a window. - This probably sounds dumb, but it makes sense to me

That is not necessarily true. Everyone's eyes are different, some differently aligned. My daughter cannot see the 3D because her eyes were severely misaligned (to the point that she could look at the wall to your left and you at the same time). The surgery to correct her eyes overdid it a bit, so there is still a slight double vision. The eye problem is an inherited thing (on my side), and although I do not usually have a problem, it still causes a problem after hours of play.
