Does anyone actually play in 3D?

I rarely turn the feature off. If the game is in 3D (AC or any other game I play), I'll play it in 3D. I love AC in 3D--it's one of the best things about the game.

I don't because it drains the battery way more quickly. It doesn't hurt my eyes though. I'm used to seeing double, and I can make myself see double.

While I have no problem with the 3D effect itself, I simply move around far too much when I play for the 3D to be worth it. I'll turn it on for a few minutes now and then, but most of the time, I keep it off.

that's exactly the same with me. i don't think i've ever turned the 3D off. i bought a 3DS to play 3D games. not 2D. so i love having it on, it enhances the depth and detail of the game, in my opinion. if it drains the battery, i don't care. my battery is always drained because i play it so much. so more than half the time i play it, it's sitting on a charger anyway. the 3D has never strained my eyes, and still doesn't. i don't hop around or move about or anything when i play, i relax either on a comfy chair or on my bed, so it's easy to hold the 3DS at a respectable distance. i've also noticed that if you don't have 3D on and you take pictures, the pictures end up looking grainy. but that's just me.

I also think that Animal Crossing lends itself particularly well to 3D because it isn't action oriented. In games with more action, it's sometimes hard to maintain the perfect viewing angle for the 3D effect. With Animal Crossing, I'm not moving the 3DS around much, so it's very easy to get the maximum effect from the 3D. I find it very immersive. I just love it.

I only use 3D in animal crossing when I am celebrating a public works project to see the party poppers go pop in 3D that's it :lemon:

Not really. I turn it on sometimes when I feel like it (no problems with my eyes/headaches - I sort of broke myself in the first three days of having a 3DS and now its 3D doesn't affect me at all) but most of the time I try to save battery power and keep it off. The 3D doesn't really do much anyway.

I don't use the 3d at all. I hate 3d...even in movies! It just hurts my eyes and makes me nauseous!

I don't use it. The main reason being I like to have battery power. In fact, I have the backlight set to 1 and it's on power-saving mode. I sometimes turn on the 3D for a bit and play with it though.

I tried to use the 3d when I first got my 3DS, but it hurt my eyes and gave me a headache. So I definitely don't use it anymore. One try was enough for me.

On a game that is played for several hours such as New leaf, i cannot stand the 3D so never use it
