Do your paths reach everywhere or only main areas?

I usually place my paths so that if i walk on them i can see the entire area, but some people only place them in the main areas and sometimes they have to walk on the grass to see everything
i've started changing up some of my paths so that in certain areas you have to walk on the grass, i think it makes the game less restrictive

Mostly main areas, the top part of my town doesn't have paths because it only has a line of Perfect peach trees, the land is too thin to do anything with s:

My paths reach everywhere, but some houses are off the path :) I didn't twist the patch around to reach every single villager house.

Everywhere except villagers who've recently moved in don't have paths straight to their house.

Just main areas for now: houses, town hall, re-tail, etc. I'm planning on having a forest area in my town where there are just natural paths, though. :)

Mine started with paths only to the main areas. But, they have slowly spread to villager houses and some PWPs. So now they are pretty much everywhere.

I have a few different paths.... I have a pretty brick path for the main places in my town (Retail, the town hall, event plaza, etc.) as well as leading up to player houses. Then I have a wooden path that I use that branches off of the main path to villager homes. I think it's really pretty ^-^

Mine are currently only on main areas, connecting the train station, Re-Tail, Brewster's, the town hall, and so on. The one between the train station and Re-Tail was especially useful when I could still connect to people, when someone came over to trade.

I wanted to connect villager's houses but recently I started thinking about giving up on that or using a different path pattern.

they lead between each of my main areas like my plaza and the town hall and my house

My Path Pretty Much starts from my Train Station and goes to all of the main buildings (Townhall, villager houses, my house)

My paths go everywhere. Unfortunately it makes my town feel really boxed in/restrictive like you mentioned in the OP. I'm not really sure how to fix it though.

Mine reach everywhere. Mine reach to villagers' houses, PWP's (if needed) and main buildings.

My paths go to main areas which, thanks to both of my town's layouts, is practically everywhere. The main areas tend to be spread out.
