I don't feel inclined to write letters in general in NH, but I did write a letter to myself back in late 2022! I had just fractured my left ankle/foot, was in my last year of school and had just adopted Bonk a couple months prior, so I thought it'd be fun to write a letter to my future self asking how my fracture healed, if I graduated, how Bonk was doing etc. I arranged to receive it exactly one year later. I actually ended up forgetting about it, so receiving it was a nice surprise!

I feel like this reads kind of depressing now that I'm looking at it again LOL, but I swear it's not!!

YES FINALLY I am glad i'm not alone in this kind of time capsule writing!! that's exactly the kinda letters I write in ACNH! It's so fun when you forget that you wrote anything and then receive mail from yourself lol

I did utilize the feature once or twice to send an item/s to myself that might hold significance in the future (aka a time capsule). It’s pretty neat that you can do that. Other than that, I haven’t used it much.

I sometimes write random notes to my alts when I order something off nook shopping. but otherwise, I don't send myself letters.

I never considered doing that but I think that’d be kinda fun! Maybe on my second island once I get back to doing it since I want to try to not tting for that file (aside from maybe the tutorial lol).

I used to write letters to myself A LOT in New Leaf, but in New Horizons.. not so much? Which is SO ODD because I used to LOVE writing letters to not just myself, but to my villagers also. But in NH, I haven't felt the urge/need to write any letters

Yes!! I sent one to myself for a year after release, and I have been trying to do so since. It's a really nice feature and makes me smile when I read what my past self had to say in the brief words available.
