I do if I have the time and am really bored, or if I'm trying to get a villager out after they've told me they're going to move, or if a villager is moving in.
i started TT'ing just to try a thesis i have on special visits. I want to see if it's possible to get all 4 fashion checks and all 20 fortune tellings in one day by constantly TT'ing around the same days. So far i noticed that visits are procedurally generated (meaning they will always be there that day, and that visits are not random AT ALL) but what they do changes (Redd's stock, Gracie's fashion topic, not sure about luck). Katrina and Redd reset if you manage to reset that day's flags, and i've read Gracie does too; i'm looking for the day she came ot my town (somewhere in January) so i can test it with her. Works for Saharah too!
So i have to travel day by day, which is quite annoying, but worth.
I TT if I'm really bored or if I'm trying to get the QR machine (I don't have the patience to wait 10 irl days for my alts..)
Lately I've been TTing because I'm trying to get PWPs doing the swimming trick, grow pink flowers faster, and get the pink roof to complete my house's look.
Right now I'm TT only to get my dream villagers. I just started playing and I'm only one away! After I get her I will stop because I don't want to lose any of them.
I always time travel day by day, if I finish what I do in the run of a few hours I will go ahead with the next day.
I get bored easy with games and this is how I love playing.
Nope. I only have about 3 times on random towns just because I'm bored. (I just get a town and Time Travel to another month.) But it's okay that a lot of people do; like I've stated before, I believe that it's not cheating.
I don't necessarily time travel, but... only when it is needed! If I needed something from a store and they were closed during night, I'd probably TT backwards for about an hour.
I time travel all the time. This happens when I finish AC daily stuff like cakewalk, and have other obligations at work (babysitting two baby nephews and balancing between other hobbies).
In my one town, I've TTed quite a bit to try to move villagers out. I guess it's a semi-cycle town. In my main towns, I don't do it that much. Mainly if someone is moving and somebody wants the person, I'll TT them into boxes. Also, if it's around midnight, I have started TTing to 6am the next morning to get a look around, see if there is a camper, see if trees have grown, etc. Then, the next day, when I play for real, I just set it to the actual time again. The game certainly doesn't count it as TTing, since I make sure I'm playing after the time I stopped playing.
ive never time traveled - it may not be cheating but i think of it as a form of cheating,, for me, that is,
every time i have cheated on any game i end up restarting. like minecraft survival; i switched to creative mode during my survival that i had been continuing for about a month,, then i restarted because i dont like to cheat and i felt guilty.
but!!
that's just how i view it for myself. you guys "cheat" [or whatever you want to call it] however much you want to !!!
I tried it for the first time today and I guess it's okay because Beardo asked to leave, which means his house will no longer almost be right on top of mine.
I TT pretty frequently. Right now I TTed back to December, because I wanted to experience Toy Day with my new villagers c: This is the first time I TTed more than one week at a time, it was pretty nerve-wracking but things worked out great. Once I give my villagers their presents I'll TT back to Feb and catch up to the current date.
