Do you TT? For what reason?

I got a NO TT rule with ONE exception and that is for villager acquisition ONLY (via campsite method). Meaning when I do the campsite method, it’s STRICTLY for just checking the campsite and getting the villager I want. No visiting shops, no bug catching, no fishing, no DIY getting, no town building, no terraforming, no Nook Miles tasks. Nothing but checking the campsite. Also, when I do this, I only do it for the duration of ONE MONTH in-game time so I don’t spoil seasons. I follow this strictly because I don’t want to go through the game so fast and I like playing naturally and obtaining stuff naturally. This way, it just feels the same way as scanning amiibos and kicking out villagers I no longer want in my island with an amiibo camper. No guilt and no spoilers.

I didn’t TT until I had unlocked KK, and when I did it was to just move around villagers and buildings. I recently TTed to November though go get some recipes and mushrooms, since I’ll really need them for my landscaping. I would have bought it all if it weren’t so pricy!

Imagine moving out villagers without TT. Scary.
Anyway, that’s why I TT. Ordering Nook Miles items shipped for trading too.

I time travel to get villagers to move out but I always resync my time afterwards. I haven't gone further then a month or 2 though so I haven't seen late summer or fall.

I just time traveled when I was creating my rock quarry because I couldn't stand the stupid mannequins everywhere.

But now the nightmare is over. 😤

I tted back for cherry blossom season but it took my months to work up the courage to do it.. feels silly now that I was so worried about it... I dont even care what day it is

I tend to TT to speed things up like moving villager houses, upgrades to Nook store, etc. I also TT when I try and move a villager out because I only have 2 currently that are not dreamies, so it takes a long time to move out someone I want to move out. I don't tend to TT for any other reason usually.. and 9/10 I end up TTing back because I don't like my game to be too far off real time for the purposes of events and things like that.

But I am worried about going back now....tting seems to give me anxiety and I wish I could be like the dupers and the tters sometimes but I just dont want to really but I really kinda do wanna work up the courage to atleast maybe do the campsite method just so I could get the dreamies nah mean but I'll wait till my towns more completed or somthing lol idk

I don't just because I tried it when I first got New Leaf and burnout so I had to restart. I haven't TT'ed a single time in NH and honestly it was the best decision I've ever made. I'm still not even bored yet; 400+ hours in and still going strong :)

i sometimes tt a day forward when i'm too impatient to wait for the next villager to move out, but i always go back to the current date immediately—i never play more than two in-game days in one realtime day c': it feels weird to me, personally. the biggest tt stunt i pulled off was during the bunny day weeks, and it was to go backwards. fishing up sharks was my biggest moneymaker, and when april 1 came, the sharks disappeared and eggs took their place! it was really frustrating for me at the time, but i don't think i'll ever tt that much ever again 😅

In the past, it was just for speeding up the process of my house being upgraded and for getting new items at Nook's Cranny. Since I share a file with my brother, he didn't want to time travel, so I don't time travel anymore.

I mainly TT for cycling villagers, but also if i’m working on terraforming or landscaping I’ll go back to daylight. I also TT to get turnips on Sundays if I know someone with high turnip prices during the week.

I don't TT at all. I enjoy playing the game in real-time rather than just trying to move forward/back in time in order to try and get everything or get around having to wait for landscaping or things like that. It definitely helps with the longevity of the game for me.

I've TTed once to try and undo a layout mistake that I made and I wholly regretted it.

One, because going backwards won't undo a mistake (I didn't realize this), and two, I spoiled all my turnips (I also didn't realize this).

What happened was that I accidentally razed a patch of flowers when my finger slipped on my joycon and I put down a house in the wrong spot.

I thought, "Okay, I'll go back 30 minutes and do this over," and proceeded to do so... Only to realize that's not how time traveling works.

My plot of land was still razed, I spoiled my turnips, and THEN, I had to pay another fee to move elsewhere and THEN another free to finally move to the correct location.

I spoiled almost half a million bells' worth of turnips and all to try and fix a slip-up that couldn't have been fixed anyways. :(

I TT a lot, it keeps me playing tbh. If I didn't TT I would not be putting in 10+ hrs everyday into this game. :b I go through so many in game days, but tend to stay in a specific month! I TT for lots of reasons/things to do, examples are: filling orders in my trade shop, farming Celeste DIYs/Saharah tickets, and farming seasonal resources like mushrooms, oh! and ofc I TT so I don't wait on buildings to be built/villager cycling!!

I just like to binge games I'm interested in.

I only TT to move out villagers in favour of the ones I preferred more! I haven't TTed since

Sometimes, but it’s usually villager or trade related. There really is no rush in this game, although it’s frustrating not getting that item I really want because I feel inspired to decorate with it, but it keeps the game exciting for me. I’ll sometimes trade with people on here For DIYs but mostly I prefer to get things on my own. I do have an extra person on my island who played for an hour and never again I’ll use them to get extra Celeste items and things, so I really don’t need to TT.
