I don't time travel for the same reason like others. I want to enjoy the daily aspects of life and not to rush things. But sometimes I feel tempted to do it because my villagers won't ask me to move out!
I don't time travel, but I have in past games. I've considered skipping a day so a bridge could be built or something, but if I start time traveling, I'm not sure when or if I'd stop.
I mainly only TT to cycle out villagers. I used the campsite method once so jumped ahead about three months - but that’s as far as I’ve gone. Sometimes I’ll jump ahead one day if I want to see whether my trees will grow in certain spots.
i time traveled once this game—a week backwards to skip part of bunny day—but haven’t done it since o: honestly i know there’s nothing wrong with it, but it feels weird! i chicken out every time i think about time traveling even a day forward c’:
I think I started time traveling a little bit after around 150 hours or so. After hitting 5 star (Around the 200+ mark) I TT when I'm impatient, waiting for a villager move or something re-locating bridges/inclines. It's usually for 1 day forward, then swap back to the correct date.
I did on my previous island but I reset and now I do not time travel at all. I'm now 19 days into this current island and have not time traveled once so I voted "no". I'm proud of myself for staying strong! Nothing against time travel, i just don't want to anymore. It ruined my game quality for me personally.
No. I time travelled all the time in City Folk and it completely ruined the game for me so I've absolutely avoided it in all of the other games and had a much more enjoyable time with them because of it. I like that AC is a naturally slow paced series, it keeps me coming back and playing for years.
Yes but selectively. I strictly only TT for villager acquisition, mainly, campsite method. But when I do that, I stick to just checking the campsite. I don’t go to the stores or get DIYs or get miles or whatever.
I wonder how many ppl answered "No" but really "there was the one time i TTed forward a day to finish a bridge but then I TT'd back a day!" which is still TTing... which this is totally a call out at those people. lol. It is TTing. They need to accept the fact they they are TTers. Not all TTing has to be hardcore jumps or cycling that everyone acts like it is.
Only lightly because I want to experience hours in the day that I’m usually working. I’ve also done it a couple times because I forgot to buy items for trades. :c
I do a little but I've set some rules for myself so that I don't spoil the game too much for myself!
For example, I really only use it for construction / kicking out villagers. I don't let myself buy items from the shop (I try to avoid going altogether because again, don't like to be spoiled). I also won't get new fish/bugs if I happen to go to a new month. I also always go back to the original date! I just find that I prefer the game this way, but I understand why people choose to TT more than that!
Yep! I did a lot more earlier since I had so much free time, but have since slowed down and just play like 30 mins - 1 hr a day to get my dailies done and make a little progress in my town designing. With that said, I have no qualms about TTing if I have the time to justify it.
i only really tt when i get really desperate in the middle of remodeling my island. doing only one bridge/incline and moving one building per day is not fun
I started to TT a month after the beginning of the game, when I wanted to move some buildings and I didn't feel like waiting more than a week for that... Now, as I have more free time at night, I like playing setting the hour to the next morning.
Yeah, I time travel. I've varied between jumping months/years at a time and a couple days. Right now I'm trying to relax a bit more so I'm just playing on little-TT mode but I've TTed weeks before just reorganizing my town and moving buildings around
I TT alot for various reasons - mostly getting mail and moving buildings instantly. My personal rule is not going over a month ahead. The only time I broke my rule is when I badly wanted the light stick (makes catalog trades much more convenient), but people online are charging so much NMTs and rare DIYs for it that I decided to get it myself. It felt weird seeing the game in winter.
I time-traveled once to get the museum open faster. ‘Cuz, like, c’mon Blathers, I just started the game, of course I’m gonna have a crap-ton of stuff to donate XD
