I have time traveled a couple of times i'll admit that, just not as much as I used to. Like I used to be a serial time-traveler. I would travel months ahead, to participate events, get certain seasonal clothing from Gracie to open stores such as Shampoodles.. but then I started to feel like a bit of a cheater, I felt like I didn't get the shops and things like that very fairly, I felt like I hadn't worked hard to get them and my town tree was definitely out of date. The game felt boring for me because I had everything I wanted and I felt like I hadn't worked for it. I also felt bad about my town tree because it was so big but it didn't match the date on which I actually had made the town, so I knew if I sat on my town tree I wouldn't be exactly able to reminisce about a town with all these incorrect dates.
So I decided to reset and not to time travel on anything, now I feel like i'm really working hard to unlock things in my town and the game feels less stale. I'm currently enjoying not time-travelling but I do time-travel just a bit, when only I miss out on my shops being open. Other then that, I don't.
I am the EXACT same, I have the habit of TT, and for the EXACT same reason :/ I start to regret it because sometimes I dont spend time on my town and villagers but then I forget about it by TT again lol! It's so bad haha Id like the time to be slightly faster than real life really
I used to TT to different days, but now I only TT within the same day. I usually TT to get furniture from my catalogue or go bug hunting on the island. I, however, will totally TT in my second town to get the final upgrade of Nook's shop when I get the chance!
I have only TT'd to get some villagers in boxes because I sold them or because I missed some events (like Halloween). I don't like TT'ing because I fear I might lose some villagers if I'm not constantly checking on them.
I have a bad habit of Time traveling. I have tim traveled at least three times today no joke! But I do not go forward a lot of days because i feel like Im going to miss too much stuff.
Usually to get rid of villagers, I don't need to have events earlier. My ingame clock is 6 hours earlier so when its evening here and I'm playing the game is just at midday and I can play in peace. I also TT when I can't wait to unlock something, I rather start collecting somethine now while I have time instead of waiting half a year to unlock something. I'd personally prefer it if AC wasn't running on real time, but I guess it's pretty unique in that way. I just like games that I can play 3 hours straight and get stuff done.
I do, ever so slightly. I can only play at night, so if I commit to "real time", no shops will ever be open and I'm always in night mode. So, I go back a few hours so I can be in "day time".
I use to time travel like crazy in city folk. It's just me, I guess, but after a while I just didn't feel very attached to my town anymore. Only when I went day by day and accomplished at little at a time did I feel invested in my town. So weird.
But to each his own! There's benefits of doing it both ways.
♥ i only tt to move out my non-dreamie villagers,
and move in my dreamie villagers.
now that i have a full town of dreamies,
i stopped time traveling c: ♥ ~♚Vickie
I didn't at first but that's only because it took me a very sad amount of time to ever learn that it was a thing but now I regularly go through a month's worth of ACNL time in a single RL day. xD I might be a tiny bit addicted but patience was never my strong suit and there are a lot of pwps.
I used to a lot, but I haven't yet with my new town. I don't play as often or feel as pressured to keep up with my town, so now I don't really feel the need to.
I time travelled quite a bit over the last several months. Mostly for Gracie's fashion check/Emporium, missing a day at the fortune tellers (gotta get that public work project!), through boredom, orders from the catelogue, moving out a specific villager for more dreamies and favourite town folks, growing hybrids, placing a bunch of public work projects and sometimes in the day changing hours to go farming on the island/speed things up c: But I do enjoy playing day-by-day!
