i like decorating my home and island otherwise i feel id get bored of nh really quick. the problem is there arent many furniture items to begin with and buying them off nookazon or discord usually costs an arm and a leg, so i opt for time traveling trying to get everything and then go back to real time and taking it 1 day at a time.
did you fall into temptation to time travel or are getting close to?
are you taking it one day at a time and playing other games?
I got the game in june, so rather than buy the recipes I missed that everyone else had a chance to get I tt'd back to get them, but so far I don't tt forward
I TTd backwards once to get more wedding items, because I kinda underestimated myself by thinking I would never use them for decorating. Surprise, I was wrong. But other than that, I don't TT forward to get seasonal/missing DIYs.
I have done. Ultimately I'm not the biggest fan of the random acquisition of recipes in the game and I figure it's either time travelling or trading online, and one of those doesn't rely on my internet connection being stable and doesn't cost me any bells.
I've never tt'd but I have nothing against it, it's just not for me! I prefer to tip/pay for access to islands (or even just items) that are time traveled. That way I get to experience daily life on my island at the slow pace but still can get seasonal items when I need them!
Yes. I didn’t TT at all for ages but as there was less and less for me to do on my island I got more tempted to search ahead. I play a lot and the updates aren’t coming quickly enough or with enough content for me personally
I haven't time-traveled because I have enough to do every day, especially on Mondays through Fridays. My S/O and I help each other gather DIYs, though I have traded any extra duplicates for recipes we don't have with other players on the forums. I don't mind waiting to get seasonal recipes; even if I already got them, I wouldn't know what to do with them.
Sort of? The crunchy sound of the snow made me not want to play the game so I set the clock back to fall. I just played in the month of May collecting mushrooms while the snowy season happened.
I didn't TT at all when I had a lot of friends/family playing the game. 1 by 1 they lost interest and now I'm here playing without them. Took the opportunity to TT to reach TBT goals, instead of in-game goals since I feel like I would get bored 6 months into the game by now without it.
I don't really TT for items per se, but I do for sure TT to move things on my island. Like when I was making my market place and residential area, I totally did to move the shops and houses within a day. I don't think TTing is bad to be honest. I only have a small amount of time off in between work shifts, so I have to make the most of my time when I have time to play - in my opinion.
I will probably time travel way later on like I always do, but for now there really isn't a whole lot of content so I'd rather have something else I can look forward to than get it all at once and having nothing to look forward to.
Nope. I've played since launch date and haven't TT'd at all. I've found plenty to do and, knowing the seasons would change, I've planned out my areas so that I can tweak them as we go through the year.
I have plenty of games that need you to do things quickly, so the slow pace of AC is the real appeal for me. I have things pretty well decorated and landscaped, but I'll make a few changes throughout the year, same as you would IRL. That's what I love.
I would/have only TT for landscaping purposes, eg. moving buildings and houses. But when I did that I definitely took full advantage and ordered as many items as I needed Not loving the 5 item limit especially since in New Leaf we could order 12 or something iirc. Even though I was a huge TTer back then, I find that it's a bit tiring to do in ACNH so I just take things day by day unless I'm doing a huge landscaping project.
I’m tempted Bc I work on a fall forest! If I wait until I gathered all materials and DIY- especially the mushroom series- fall will be over soon lol and I want to enjoy my fall forest while it’s still fall. So, idk. Currently I’m just farming acorns and pine cones...urgh, idk I never traveled ahead to get seasonal items..I’m torn lol
I haven't time traveled, I tend to just trade with people on here for recipes if they are out of season. I have nothing against time traveling, I just don't want to do it because for me it has taken some of the fun out of past games when I did time travel, like new leaf. Plus, once I start time traveling, I never really know when to stop.
