Do you think the RV Campers on Harvs Island going to upgrade to buildings?

ever since seeing the direct, Ive wondered whether the Harv’s Island expansion will upgrade over time into buildings and create a more new leaf inspired Main Street. There isn’t any proof of this, but I thought it could be a good idea for development. (I was really hoping we’d have a Nook’s Cranny upgrade too)

Hmm.. I don't think so. It seems more like they'll add a menu where you can choose what to purchase instead of physically picking an item (kinda like how Leif is already working). I really love the look of the campers so I hope they stay.
But yeah, I do hope Nook's will still get an upgrade somewhere in the future .

I don't think so. It wouldn't suit the overall theme of harveys island. It's chilled and gives honestly some hippie/burning man vibes. I could see a nooks upgrade tho but I am fine if not - wouldn't go along with my island theme tbh

I highly doubt it. Doesn't really fit in with Harvey; he's very minimalistic and nature-sided and Campers fit that to a T.

I don't think so, and especially with the spacing of the campers, I don't think they could turn them into buildings. It would look really cramped. Plus I love the idea of a cute little trailer park. If they upgrade their shops, it would probably just mean selling new or more items. I do wish Able's Sisters and Nookling's get an upgrade though! I really hope there are many more surprises for us to discover outside of what the direct showed.

Probably not. I feel as if the camper vans/RVs add to the “island life” aesthetic. It’s rustic, in a way, and considering that Harvey is widely known for living out of one, it just makes sense to leave it that way.

like the others have said, i dont think so either. in new leaf harv owned a campsite with rotating rv campers, and they kinda transferred that to pocket camp, so i think campsite rvs is a motif the franchise is going to want to keep- especially in regards to harv. him essentially owning a fully built city on his island would just be a bit weird imo?

I wish! But no I don’t think so. The area itself doesn’t look big enough to house that many buildings. What I hope is that they had let us go into the RVs just to look at the interior but I doubt that either because you can see some of the trailers have items obstructing the RV doors.

I think they are going to stay RV’s . Since harv had RV’s in the campsite on NL. They suit him better then buildings.

You’re right that is definitely fits Harv more. I’m kinda over the whole RV Trailers as a concept in Animal Crossing. I feel like it was exhausted in ACNL (with the update) and Pocket Camp so I was hoping a kind of main shopping area similar to Main Street in NL or the city in City Folk. But I understand it’s unlikely, especially out of harv’s backyard. It’s a nice dream though

In agreement with everyone else pretty much—the RVs just make more sense for Harvey’s Island.

I do wish they’d decorated the surroundings a bit more interesting than just cedar trees and nothing else. Harv’s campground in NL looked a lot more charming imo.

I doubt it, because even Harriet was dressed in a hippie style, like Harv, which would imply that's the vibe they're going for, which the vans fit into perfectly. Probably not too dissimilar to that section in NL where the different vans turned up, but with the ability to have all the vans there permanently.

As much as I would love this to be the case, I will have to agree with many here that it is not likely to happen. The part of me that would love to see it happen of course is the growing sense of community that could be felt by such a feature. However, I remind myself that this is Harv's Island, and thematically it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to have a bustling city in Harv's backyard, lol. Now allow us to plop Redd's shady shop just across form Resident Services so that Nook and Redd could have the most epic stare-down in AC history.

I honestly doubt it. Harvey has been known to be around RV's as that's his thing. I don't see it updating. If they do, then all of the RV'ers would also have to upgrade their stock in a way, such as Shampoodle now needing more hairstyles, Sahara with more than just rugs, etc. I think it'd just be too much sadly.

I think if anybody needs a building upgrade, then it's Timmy and Tommy's store lol

I don't think they'll be able to upgrade into houses, buildings however, that would be cool!

I think they are going to stay as RVs cause Harv’s island is basically a camp island and not a city one but i think it’d be really cool if it did. If it could upgrade to a nice town and then let it be customized like the happy home thing thatd be so nice

It actually makes more sense for him to have the RV campsite with this update than it did before with him just having a photo op island with no RVs.

I don’t think so. I mean, it would be cool, but I kinda like the small shop vibe. I’m just glad Kicks and Redd are setting up shop. Now I don’t have to wait for them to pop up once a week anymore.
