I've encountered a bit of a problem on my main, which I'm sure many of you have. I'm out of room. My storage is full and two of my rooms are literally packed to the doorway with stuff as I figure out what to do with it. It's making me feel like a hoarder.

Which brings me to this question: do most of you keep your items and move them to another villager for storage or just sell the items and sets that you don't really want?

Whatever is reorderable, I sell.
Unorderables, I store them on the other characters as well as museum.

I also store some things in my 2nd cycling town. So I have ample space right now.

I definitely had the same problem, haha! I just liked so many items but really had no idea how to arrange them nicely ... and I ran out of storage too. Have you tried saving them in your mailbox at the post office? I've learned to just sell all the items that I can order from the Nooklings, and save/store all the unorderable items. Saved me a lot of storage space - I can always just order again if I really want something.

I've also seen people suggesting that you wrap items and place them in a museum room since they only take up 1 tile of space that way.

I've heard of storing stuff in the museum. It's something I've wanted to do, but right now I have all four rooms dedicated to gyroids. D: Which...is something else I have to sort out. I thought of putting some of my sets in there though.

Right now, I'm just trying to keep unorderables. The only furniture sets I use are unorderable. All my clothes and accessories are unorderable - they're in the museum storage space. I use my first character to hold my streetpass items (I like to keep copies of some of those too), cakes, anything consumable, fireworks, ores and extra fruit. Character 2, I use to store spare bush starts, hybrids and some unorderables I'm not using. Character 3 is holding candy, Island items I'm not using, Saharah items and music boxes. And finally character 4 is holding gyroids and villager pics. I know I'll have to change my system up a little bit later on but right now it's working for me.

Oh, neat! I didn't know that.

I had the same problem, ran out of space because I was storing every unorderable and special item I found. But now I just keep the ones I like and my storage is a lot lighter now.

Im a bit of a hoarder. I store things that can be reorderable. And things people would usually consider garbage. I have all the mushrooms, all the easter eggs, candies, pave feathers, Thanksgiving ingredients, two rooms full of bugs/fish for my animals. ._. Ihave filled three houses with stuff. Lockers and a few of the rooms. And of course the museum.

I'm a huge hoarder.I have three towns, so the hoarding has really come in handy when i'm decorating a room.

I sell anything that can be ordered, and my 4 characters hold the unorderables.I used to use my museum, but i organized my stuff, so now my museum rooms are decorated with fun ideas that i didn't have room for in my houses.

Well, I love all kinds of items, but as I only have one copy of the game, I NEED to sell everything :'(

I sell the orderable things (EVERYTHING, dresses, shirts, furniture, etc.) and try to keep unorderables, even if they are easy to get again for NPCs or whatever :/

I need to start organizing with my other characters but I'm reaally lazy...

Haha, me too~
I store gyroid, seashells, easter eggs, pave feathers, music box and pitfall seeds XD

I do pretty much the same. Sell off anything that can be reordered and just order it from my catalogue when I need it. Anything that's rare/unorderable I keep in my closet storage. Nintendo items/ores/gyroids/etc all go in my museum rooms. My second character I use for storing saplings and bush starts for when I eventually get enough to start some heavy duty landscaping.

It depends on the item, really. If it's something I know I'm going to use/wear a lot, I'll probably keep it in my storage. The rest of it gets sold so I can always reorder it from T&T when I may need/want it for something. Storage space is so limited that although I love to be a pack rat in games like this, you just don't have the room for it with the options the game gives. I do try to keep at least one basket of each fruit on hand in my storage, though. I have most of them growing in my town, but I like to be safe in case those trees give rotten fruit and I need to replant or something. I keep my special furniture sets that I don't use in there, as well (Pave, Easter Egg series).

I really should make a second character to increase storage space (and the patterns for my town), but I just really don't want another one of those big bulky houses anywhere in my town. Haha. That may change, as the need for space becomes more apparent, but I'd like to be able to avoid it if possible. I use the museum space for Nintendo and stocked up a bunch of clothes in there, as well. So I'm glad there's at least a couple more options out there for extra space, even if they're a bit tedious to do.

Um, neither because I don't buy things I don't like. I basically just ignore the HHA. If I want the stupid house model light thing that badly, then I'll just buy it from someone here.

well i know for a fact i'm a hoarder lol. all 4 of my rooms in the museum are pretty much full i have stuff stored in my bathroom, kitchen, both the left and the right rooms of the house and the basement and my inventory is full too.right now i storing clothes and other items for whenever gracie comes back to town( i've passed 2 of her fashion checks). so sometimes i sell or give them to my villagers as presents.unless the gifts come from gulliver i keep those.

Wow I have got to do this tomorrow LOL

Anyway, I just buy orderables for cataloging and then sell them after. I'll just order again when I need them. I keep some clothes in my storage for when Gracie comes but I'll sell them once its done. As for unorderables, store them in my museum. I'm becoming a hoarder of unorderables that I might need someday. Ores, saplings, bushes, fruit I keep in storage. Tools I'm not using I keep them in letters in my mailbox. :P

i keep unorderables that i really like, like princess series, beans, yellow dotted dress, etc. if i can get them from an event and i dont need it (like pave series), then i sell it. btw, pave series sells for a lot at retail. if its from an event and i do like it, then i keep it. i buy gracie clothes but sell ones i dont like, like hotdog tank. my storage was filled but i cleaned it a few days ago and it was clogged with extra gracie stuff and able sisters clothes. now i take up the first A storage and almost box 1 of B.

Wow, this method is so brilliant haha

Like most others, I keep the unorderables and sell most other things. I also keep my tools in letters, as well as put most unorderables I don't think I'll ever use into letters and store them at the post office. Doing that with multiple characters adds a lot of storage space I never knew I had, lmao.

I put gyroids into the museums, but I htink at some point I may just do a giveaway.
