Dont get me wrongs paths are BEAUTIFUL if executed well but I just prefer the grass (or therefore lack of) it just feel right to me. I will eventually put a simply one square path connecting everything (that is if I don't change my mind)

I try using paths, but whenever I look at other towns with paths, I realize how woefully inadequate I am, lol.

I keep switching the paths in my newest town, but I think I'm gonna go back to the single tile stone paths I found; it makes it so much easier to do wide and single width paths.

I like towns that have paths, whether they are actual patterns or dirt paths worn into the landscaping... I just feel it gives a bit of structure to the map, rather than it just being grass. It's always one of my favourite moments when I unlock the sewing machine and can start laying paths!

Although I'm awful compared to others, I much prefer having paths. It makes me feel better about running around my town and it easily connects everything with nothing in the way.

I like dirt paths or if someone has an obvious grass path aligned with flowers, but most of the time I feel like towns without paths are sloppy... >.< I dunno, I guess I just find it uninteresting.

I love both, but I feel like paths have to been done really well to look good, whereas a nicely decorated town with natural paths looks lovely regardless of whether they've been planned out as much as patterns usually have to be.

I prefer paths, especially since I have flowers everywhere. It keeps me from running in places I shouldn't.

I prefer towns with paths, I think they are more unique and beautiful if you know how to put them. :)

I generally like towns with more natural looking paths, such as using clovers or having a dirt path or a path lines with bushes/trees, I have seen some beautiful towns with lots of patterns but its just not for me. I find those towns lack trees/bushes which I feel gives the town flavor.

People sometimes go overboard with the paths, making 4 character saves just so they can make use of 40 path slots. Often, in towns like those the villager houses feel tacked on in this overboard town. If one can make a town with maximum 10 path designs, it ends up looking better than a town with no patterns at all. IMO balance is important to making a true perfect town.

This!! I like natural beauty in towns whether that be plant paths, dirt paths or a very simple pattern. When it is a lot of patterns it feels more artificial to me somehow, although I can appreciate those as well, I prefer natural paths^^ paths can be helpful though so you can run if you need to without consequences for your flowers or grass c:

In my main town I have a path made entirely out of flowers. I felt that my town needed some sort of organization but I didn't want to give up the natural look. I enjoy seeing the grass. So, I took the bajillions of flowers that were growing in my town and put them to good use!

I like both. All of my towns have paths. I'm trying to make my newest town more natural. It is kind of tricky making a town look decorated without paths, but I'm gonna try.

i use paths, and i LOVE towns with paths, it adds so much character to your town!, i prefer paths with the borders in the corners because they look "clean" and provide a sense of direction.
