I am not going to time travel in this game. I have time traveled in every game and for this one I want to have to wait for new things to happen each day. I don?t travel in new leaf anymore and have really been enjoying that a lot more than rushing through everything.

So are you gonna time travel?

I’m going to try not to. I think the most ill do is if i know i cant play at night and i need something ill travel to that day at another time but ill switch my time back. Certain days i work in the morning or night so just to make sure i get everything i need in the day. And sometimes i work where i know the shops might not be open at that time.

I’m going to refrain from time traveling at least for the first couple months. I want to build up my town naturally for as long as I can and only get items through trading and crafting. But I will probably start doing it further down the line in my gameplay like I did for new leaf.

Good question. For me it got really boring in animal crossing because you are so limited to what you can do per day. I want to make progress. For example in new leaf I hated to wait for the pwps to be done or that I can't make anything on holidays ^^* That's nothing I enjoy. Maybe it's better with new horizons because you can place anything outside so you habe a lot to do.

Wait I thought we couldn’t time travel in New Horizons.....

They never said we couldn't. People are mis-characterizing what was meant in regards to cloud saves. They meant in terms of going back to old saves, not changing the clock. We don't know if we can time travel or not.

To answer the question, I do not plan on doing so. I don't think I've ever done so in any game since the original, where I did so when I missed an event due to being away with family. I won't time travel unless I absolutely need to due to real life making me miss an event I have not done before.

Ooooh, that makes so much sense, thank you!!

Probably gonna time traveling again in this game, although I will try to not doing it so often as I did in New Leaf.

Not sure yet. Probably won't for the first few months.

If there are lots of things that require waiting hours/days for completion I will certainly time travel.
But when the game first launches I already know that there will be enough stuff to keep me satisfied while I'm waiting for things. Time traveling has always felt dirty for me. I think it's a much bigger accomplishment to have a bomb town via playing the game as intended.

Nah I'm not going to. At least, I'm going to try really hard not to. God I time traveled the frick out of ACNL and I don't think I should do that for ACNH.

hmm, I probably won’t time travel. I later began to time travel on New Leaf and as I shared the game with siblings, they hated it :D
I also feel that time travelling kinda takes the fun out of everything :(

Nope. Unless I missed an important event (then I backtrack a few minutes or hours). I never time travel to the future.

I plan to in order to keep the same villagers from moving out on me since I pick up the game every once in a while.

I don't know how it could work with autosave.

Having played Pocket Camp to do a forum event I can see autosave being a huge problem in the game.

As in, making it unplayable.

if time traveling is an option, i will just in case i missed events or my friend missed an event and really wanted to do it. Also because my mum lives in a different state to me and in her state daylight savings is a thing, i will be time travelling 3 hours ahead when im at her house so the clock reflects irl time. I used to do a lot fo time travelling in the first few years i had new leaf, but that was s\just to experience the events, and now i refrain from it unless its small jumps in time (i.e. a day or so ahead). However, i did miss my birthday this year and i have been contemplating travelling back in time a few months so i can have my boys wolfgang and biskit sing to me.

Assuming it's still an option, then yeah, I probably will sometimes. I have a tendency to be too impatient and excited so for things like home upgrades, shop upgrades, etc, I very well may '^-^ especially if I end up missing a holiday or event or something

If it is still an option in this game, then yes, I absolutely intend to time travel in New Horizons. I almost certainly won't do so immediately because it will be a new game and a new experience and I generally don't get too into the swing of time travel until I've had the games until the game has been out for a few months.

That it is in question whether we have the ability to do so in this game is disappointing though. I've time traveled since the GameCube game and it's the style of play through which I derive the most enjoyment. I don't like being beholden to the playing the games daily like they're a chore to complete, and sometimes there's either not enough time in the day to actually play or I simply don't feel like doing so. Heck, I routinely take breaks from the game for weeks or months. But you can't just not play or you risk losing villagers and/or getting your town infested with weeds. If they did remove our ability to time travel, then it kind of puts my future with the series into question because no matter how good New Horizons and/or the games that come after it are, I'll have less interest to buy the games because burnout is inevitable and time travel has kept me playing New Leaf all these years. Removing the ability feels limiting and like fixing something that wasn't broken.

Most definitely no.

As last time I did it, I sworn to myself I'd never Time Travel when I got New Leaf. But what did Paperboy012305 do? Time Travel anyway.

It actually lead me into depression, and it was the first and last time I ever had one.
Thankfully now I don't Time Travel in my town, it makes the game a bit more fun if I do it that way.

Now, I have another chance after 7 years. Hope I don't screw this one up.

I'll start off the game trying not to time travel and see how I go... However if there are villagers, items, shops or anything of the sort that I really want to get then I probably will. If I am being honest with myself, as soon as I learn enough about the game, risks and how to avoid them I will probably start time travelling. I like to enjoy making progress rather than running around bored on it once I've done everything that I wanted/needed to do. Who knows though, maybe they will surprise me and I won't want to time travel anymore. I'll certainly give it a chance :D
