Do you plan to time travel?

I don't plan to for the same reason I don't in my other games - I like the slower pace and letting things unfold in real time. My life is hectic enough. Having something that makes me slow down and appreciate it is a welcome escape and the reason I've liked playing AC.

I didn't know we could time travel. I don't know, I think I'll avoid time traveling, at least for a long, long time.

No, I will not be time traveling. Every time I do it, I mess up somewhere along the way and I feel really bad to the point of starting over. I have a terrible habit of starting over too by the way and I really want to break it, so doing something like time traveling will just make the habit worse, so no, definitely not doing it. Plus to me, it feels kinda like I'm cheating and I like to enjoy everyday as it is, in real time, but if other people want to do it, then I'm certainly not stopping them and it's totally fine. :)

I've time-traveled quite a lot the first time I played WW and CF. That was also to try and finish the museum, but I was never able to.
This time I plan on not time traveling at least the first year or maybe at all. I want to finish the encyclopedia and the related museum exhibits in my first year of playing. The holidays were also a big reason to time travel because I constantly missed them, but this time I plan on playing a lot longer and more regularly and not in just a huge burst at the beginning and then 2-week bursts all over the year.

I won't time travel in this game because I like to stick to the Gentlemen's Agreement. Time Travelling is a big violation of that agreement.

I'll do whatever I want to do, to enjoy the game to the max. After all, I'm paying for it and I see no reason not to do whatever I want.

In ACNL, I time traveled (usually only a day or two in either direction), for example when the shops were closed or when I ran out of things to do on that particular day, and wanted new daily tasks.

And then a couple of times I time traveled for years, because I heard false rumors of how the town would be completely devastated and I was curious to find out about that. A day or two of weeding and talking to the villagers and things were not that different from normal.

Amen to that! ^_^
It's part of Animal Crossing!

I definitely will. I just am real impatient, and I want stuff to get done, lol.

I have not time traveled on an Animal Crossing game since City Folk in 2011, so I'm going to say no.

I rarely time travel in AC so probably would not be doing it in ACNH as well.

Time travel makes me get bored real fast because I can basically get everything instantly. For those who like time travel though, they should be able to do so.

Sometimes it is absolutely necessary. By that I mean who wants to miss out on an event because of real life constraints? Sometimes I have to time travel so I don't miss Toy Day or any other festivals because waiting a whole year would feel horrible. Already missed out on Harvest Festival this year because of NYC. I think if people have work or school they should be able to time travel so they don't miss out! I don't see how traveling back a few hours or a day is bad. That's basically the only time I use the time travel feature but I don't mind when people do it for other reasons. Play your game your way.
But yeah I'm gonna refrain from time travel as much as possible except for festivals if I can't make it in time.

I don't plan to, but if I'm unhappy with my island and have no option to rename it either, then I'll likely restart the game at day of purchase and travel forward until I reach today. I want to play properly, but at the end of the day it's my game and I will use the options inside the game to make it a better experience for myself. If the game has no in-game clock, then I won't mess with the Switch clock though.

The only thing I plan to do is change the time during the day to fit my schedule, like if I work til 5pm then I'd want to play midday inside Animal Crossing. That's what I did with New Leaf, it was 6 hours earlier in the game so that I would see something else then night time.

Has it actually been confirmed that we can TT...?
Just been thinking about the auto save and that's made me think again... (๑꒪ㅁ꒪๑)

If you can change the day as always, in game, then I don't think they can stop it (hopefully they CAN'T!).

100% agree on this. I want to have experience with every event in the game, but sometimes it can be a bit of a squeeze with a busy life schedule. So I probably will time travel at some point when I want to collect items/relive an event.

For the first few months, I want to try and play the game without time-travelling. But as soon as the game is getting boring or there is nothing more to be done in the current season (e.g. I have all of the insects and fish that you can catch then), I most likely will, as I did in all of the previous games.

However, I have a huge group of friends who will all play the game from day 1 and if they'll progress a lot faster than me, I might do it even sooner. The game is meant to calm us down and relax, but I'm a competitor, that's in my blood.
