Do you like your town layout?

I like mine!
Only 2 ponds, re-tail at the top, and I don't plot reset so the houses are everywhere. I just don't like it how some towns are so organized.

I'm fairly happy with my town's layout, but if I ever decided to reset my town, I'd place my mayor's house in a less inconvenient place (if you walk straight from the train station you'll hit the back of Lia's house soon enough), and the placement of my residents tends to annoy me since I don't know how to plot yet and they always put them-stupid-selves in my way, but as for the layout of my town, it's actually really great. Everything is all on one side of town, except for the Police Station, which I placed anyway, so I can't complain.

I don't like it, I LOVE it! :D
I reset many times but it was absolutely worth it. I love the U-shaped rivers with the plaza in the centre.

I like both my towns. When I first started this game I did not realize there would be a choice of maps to choose from but I do like my town layout. When I started my second town I chose the complete opposite of my first town Nothing is close to being the same and I find I like that.

This may be the map I should pursue with replacing Progress. (That will happen, at the earliest, when we are already in August. I will gradually transfer, say, five Progress villagers to the new town.)

I need to plan better the Public Works Projects and, perhaps, make the permanent ones (Police Station, Campsite, Roost Cafe) on delay on getting built. (I am toying with the notion of not adding them at all.)

One thing I like about your map is the beach. That second section is so minimal that the town feels like it has one rather than two beaches. I like that. I have that in my main town Applewin.

Thanks for posting it!

Sometimes I hate my map and other times I love it. I really don't want to reset my game however, so I'll stick with it. I have 3 ponds which is 2 too many but I was unaware of the importance of map and just really liked how the rive cut diagonally across town. I still like it because its made quite a nice divide between sections.
However, my big pet peeve is how due to the diagonal nature my top left corner is rather dead space. I couldn't even get the campsite there. I also rushed my campsite placement and put it directly beside my mayor, but I'm landscaping that into forgiveness.
I feel though that yes some maps are better than other maps, but my favorite dream towns don't necessarily have the "perfect" map, they just used the map they had beautifully.

I like the layout in both of my towns pretty much. I don't plot reset, but most of the houses are in nice places. I hate one rock in front of the station in my second town though, but it doesn't bother me that much anymore.

After starting a fifth town, yeah, I'm happy with it. Only thing I would change is to not have the pond right below the train station. It's not as big of a deal as I thought it would be, but would still prefer it elsewhere.

Yes, I reset for a while just to find the right town map. I needed one which would mean that I could make the story/plot be revealed in the correct order. It just makes things so much easier for me when landscaping too.

YES! Very, very much yes! I actually don't think I would be satisfied with any other layout. :)

Of course I plot reset.

you map is impressive though. i tried the plot reset trick, but it would NEVER end up exactly where I want *--* (and there are lots of back and forth between the resets. is it normal?)

It's luck and patience.... When I say patience, I mean a lot.

Here's my town layout:

I like my map a lot. I spent around 45 mins on launch day last year map resetting. I was looking for a curvy river with nooks and crannies, and I didn't want a split beach. If I could change anything though, I'd get rid of the pond under my train station, and properly plot reset the earlier villagers houses.
Personally I believe that any map can make a beautiful town, it's the hard work you put into it that makes it something special ^_^

I like my layout! It's not the traditional one that everyone seems to go for, I have 3 or 4 ponds and it's mostly top heavy, but I really like it. I would definitely change the rock placement though, I have two permanent ones that just drive me crazy! And pietro moved into the most inconvient spot (in between the town hall and retail, and right in front of my cafe) but I love pietro and I know he just wants to be the center of attention so I forgive him. :)

I like both of my town layouts currently, but I'm slowly losing interest in playing.

(This is super out of date since most of my villagers have changed)

Since this was my very first animal crossing game I stuck with my first four maps and never really looked back. (I had no idea you could even map reset until like my 4th month in... woops.) There are a few things I do kind of regret, like not having a southern facing waterfall, and the placement of my cafe and mayor's house, but other than that I'm really happy with everything else!
