do you like the hourly music in new horizons?

I'd love to be able to adjust the music volume down, I like the ambient environmental sounds.

I think the music is very hit and miss in this game. Around half of the songs I really enjoy and the other half are just very bland or just meh.

No I don't like hourly music in this game except the 5 am one : it's peaceful and with dawn that's beautiful.
The worst is the 2 pm, I can't stand it anymore and I mute it.

I would say I’m indifferent towards it, but lean more towards dislike so I voted for no. It’s not a bad OST, but it doesn’t even come close to NL or WW/CF’s

It's good background music but after watching TheBitBlock's review and hearing the music back to back, most of the tracks are too similar and it's a shame. I never played the old games but I was hoping for more funky unique music, like the one where there's a cat meowing XD

I tried, however, I mostly play around the same time every day, so a lot of beautiful tracks just get lost along the way. In general, I think that the songs loop far too often, and therefore they get repetitive even after just a few minutes. And I can't say I enjoy the orchestration. Although in the beginning, having unlocked Resident Services, I must admit I was blown away by some tunes.

It's not great. It's not terrible. It's just okay and it's there. The opening theme is pretty good, but all the other music is kind of just rehashed up. I can remember how certain hourly music went for all the older games, but I can't really differentiate NH's music and I'm playing that one currently and haven't touched the other games in months (or years in some cases)


Also it's really telling when the poll is 50/50 that is very divisive.

It's alright. I don't hate it, but I think it's the weakest out of any game. All the themes sound much more similar than other games, which makes it less interesting in my opinion.

5PM is good though. There must be some official rule at Nintendo that every game's 5PM theme has to be one of the best themes.

I'm sure it'll age well, as most video game music does. However, I still prefer New Leaf, each hour was so different and fit the time of day very well (the 7pm one is my favorite AC song of all time).

Aside from 12pm and a few of the late night hours, not really. Most of them give me royalty free music in Youtube cat videos vibes, especially 8am.

Also, 2pm is terrible. Period.

Unless you just meant you haven't heard it for yourself in game. It does make a difference for me too. I get to hear 5am nearly every day, there's just something about it that feels like "yay, I made it!" But in a soothing way.

I like them. I understand why some would dislike it, though. It's probably the synths used at most hours. 2PM is the worst offender at this. I'll admit it's hard to distinguish the hourly music between others but at the very least, you know it's from New Horizons. The best sounding ones in my opinion are 7AM, 8AM, 12PM, 3PM, 5PM, and 8PM. I haven't heard hours 12AM to 6AM yet. I want to experience it in-game!

I really like NH's hourly music. There's a few duds in the afternoon (1PM, 3PM, 4PM), but otherwise it's mostly great songs. The night songs can get repetitive but they are soothing nonetheless.

So I'm mixed I like some tracks from new leaf for some hours but I also like NH for other hours. Example I don't care for 7am in new leaf but new horizon I love 7am music. But in new leaf 8 am is better than nh,, overall i'm mixed! But acnl had better rain music-

I personally preferred New Leaf's music to New Horizons's. That being said, I still think that there are some good hourly music tracks in NH, just not as many or as good as NL.
