I LOVE shopping at the shopping centre like I am sure I have an problem as I am always there hahaha
I always like to go cause I want to try things on and not have to send them back if it is wrong.

malls are fun as a group activity, but if i'm by myself at a mall i'm usually having a bad time lol. plus there aren't nearly as many options in store as there are online either in options or sizing, so i do tend to order online pretty frequently.

I prefer shopping in-person. I like being able to feel the texture of the clothes and make sure that they fit and are of good quality before buying them. I don't really go to malls that often since most of the ones around me are too expensive and fancy, but I do go to department stores and thrift shops.

depends. i like having a mooch at a shopping centre in person and trying stuff on that i like the look of. also like to buy stuff online after i've tried it on in-store

although, mostly buy stuff secondhand through vinted or when i hit up charity shops (super cheap funky finds). would say that i use vinted for stuff more oftenn

I don't drive, so me going to a mall is practically nonexistant

but anyways, I prefer in-store shopping at places that aren't malls

I like the thought of shopping online, especially in the comforts of your own home but in person is definitely better because you can try on the clothes and feel the material beforehand vs having to return it if you don’t like it or it’s the wrong size. It’s even worse when you have to pay for return shipping, which I guess wouldn’t be such a big deal to me because I only shop online at places that have free return shipping. If I see something I like at the mall I will compare prices on my phone to see if it’s cheaper to have it shipped though and I also just like strolling around the mall too even if I’m not buying anything so it’s a win win for in person. It’s nice exercise especially when it’s way too hot to go outside for a walk.

I basically never buy clothes online (very rarely though I will buy something used) so I'm thankful I have active malls near me. I'm tall so I want to make sure clothes fit me well, and I'm also picky about how fabric feels.

In general I love malls. I think it's partly because of malls being seen as cool when I was growing up, but we didn't have a good indoor mall by my house so I had to fantasize about hanging out at the mall with friends. But I enjoyed going to a nice two-story one in the nearest city.
When I go back to the US I can definitely tell they're not as popular anymore, but they're not as dead as the Internet had me believing.

I lived in Kawasaki a few years ago and there is a crazy number of malls surrounding the trains station. After work I would just mall walk a lot of the time because it was so much fun to look around at everything. The malls get really packed on weekends here too. Internet shopping isn't as popular as it is in many other countries here (not that it's nonexistent though) so I think that's partly why, a lot of Japanese people still want to check out products in person.

Offline because you can get stuff the same day. A lot of times buying online you have to wait a couple days or more.
Online shopping is harder, imo. I don't like receiving broken or damaged stuff that I have to then find time to return, and if I can't meet that deadline, I'm stuck with a useless or ruined product. Much easier on me to just shop in store.

Both are good, depending on what you're looking for. I prefer buying clothes in person, given that I've had to return clothes I bought since they weren't the right size. I try not to buy pants/shorts online because of this, because I just don't get the measurements.

I find that shopping in a mall is more fun, but online is much more convenient since you can find exactly what you're looking for most of the time. So I guess it's 50/50 for me.

In terms of gaming the games are always cheaper online. I don't have much else to go to the mall for that I can't get where I am now.

I kinda prefer shopping at a mall or other retail, but for whatever items I like, I can only get them online. So it’s half-and-half for me.

I prefer going to physical stores than shopping online because I don’t have a credit card and purchasing a debit card to buy things on sites other than Amazon and eBay is tedious and annoying to do. Amazon, eBay, the Apple store, and Nintendo I don’t mind purchasing things off of them because at least I can buy gift cards for those sites and use them to pay for everything without worrying too much that any change left over from the starting balance is going to expire eventually and that it’s such a waste because the amount left on them is so low that it’s not worth trying to use them again just to use up the 29 cents left on the card.

I prefer online so I don't have to go outside but going to a mall and seeing what they have is nice from time to time. Bonus points if they have something that online doesn't have.

The last time I went to the mall was before the pandemic hit, and I couldn't walk ten steps without someone there desperately trying to sell me something. That kind of put me off from wanting to go there again.

I'd rather just go to regular stores or shop online (depending on what the clothing stuff is) than go to malls.

Yeah it's been ages since I've been to a mall, but those kiosk stands and people going around to do surveys were annoying. I get that it's their job and that's how they get paid, but if someone declines after 3 times move on lol.

The only instance that sticks out in my mind is from a long time ago when I was a kid. Some lady, probably late teens or early twenties was trying to get me to do a survey. I went with my parents and they went somewhere and I was going to maybe the toy store? And it just made me feel extremely uncomfortable how pushy they were.

i prefer to actually go to the mall or physical store especially if it’s clothing so i can try it on. i buy stuff online if something’s cheaper or if its not carried in stores.

call me cheap but ebay is my go to if the item can be bought used. i’ve bought things on there that are like half the price and are in perfect condition. i’ve gotten a $100 computer keyboard for $50 and a $30 book for $4. (i know i sound like a plug for them now lol)
