Do you keep giving villagers gifts after you get their picture?

For a while, I had stopped, but recently, I've resumed gifting villagers wrapped foreign fruit anyways to see which random piece of clothing or furniture they gift me in return. I don't grow nearly enough fruit to make a significant amount of passive income every three days, so I might as well do something with the fruit.

Only the permanent ones, but I might stop depending on whether I need to remove the extra apple trees to make enough room for flowers.

Getting a picture from a resident always makes me smile!

But it's not something I actively work on achieving. If it happens, it happens. I interact with my islanders every day because I enjoy it. So, whether I have or have not received their picture, I would continue talking to them and gifting them as long as they are on my island, just because it's fun for me. Am I weird?

I haven't received any pictures yet but I'll probably keep giving them gifts, especially stuff that I'd like them to wear or put in their houses.

I have been, mostly for a weird little reason: I don't like leaving the gift option open all day. No real reason, it's not like I'm afraid of accidentally gifting them something later in the day or something... I really can't explain it haha

Right now, I'm focusing on getting the remaining photos, so I'm just gifting the two holdout villagers.

Once I get them, I will probably give gifts, but only clothing. I have a funny quirk about keeping fruit on the trees (I don't have that many, to begin with), so I'd rather not shake them. If I decide to keep them bare over the winter, I'll gift wrapped fruit.

It’s the same one. But yeah, to receive another one you have to keep giving gifts for about two months or so.

I give them stuff I think they'll like or that they'll look cute in. I don't like to ignore them after I get the picture, having their picture just means there's now a chance I'll replace them when the time comes. Unless it's one of my founders.

I would gift them clothes that I think would look cute on them, and I've already gotten a second picture from Poppy and Apple :3 so yeah, as long as they are permanent I would definitely keep gifting them cute clothes.

I do! I don’t know about advantages, I just like giving them gifts because I love them. But I would potentially like to trade some picture in the future so that is another good reason.

yEAh! I have 4 pics - Genji, Sherb, Curlos, and Spike. (my only males on the island. idk what it is with me, but...I just click with my male villagers so much easier lmao).
I give all of my villagers wrapped fruit every day. I'm trying to get a copy of all of their pics, ofc, and IK i already have 4, but i'd like to get copies of my 4 male's pics so I can trade them for pics of my villagers who left before i could get theirs.
Plus, I don't wanna make them feel left out i hear that giving every villager a nice gift except like one can make that one feel sad and want to move. idk if thats tru tho

Is there a benefit to receiving a villager pic? I've never really understood this... is it just an achievement/goal, or is there another benefit to getting a picture?

I do, I like getting the random clothes or furniture, it helps complete my catalog. And in doing so I have gotten many dupes of photos, which are useful for trading. Plus I just enjoy giving them gifts.
