Do you have a robot vacuum?

Do you have a robot vacuum? or have you been thinking about it? If you have one, what's your opinion about it? Which one do you have? If you don't, why not?

I don't. My place is just too small and packed with furniture for the automated vacuum cleaner. I have a vertical one with a wall mounted docking station and I love how easy it is to use.

We had one but the wheel broke on it and then I accidently stripped a screw on it trying to get to the wheel to fix it. I can't remember what exactly happened to the wheel to break it. I think it got stuck under something, but we have one long haired dog and some of her fur wrapped around the wheel so it needed cleaned out.
I loved the robot vac. It surprisingly did pretty well. It picked up more than I thought it would on carpet. We got ours on discount. I recommend it. Even if you do have carpet, but it is best on hard floors. I don't recommend it if you have long haired animals though. Also, it isnt a replacement to vacuuming with a regular vac if you have animals. You should still do routine vacuuming to pick up most of the animal hair. The robot was more for in-between vacuuming times just to keep the floors cleaner. Also, if you have hard floors, you will still need to dust them because it doesn't really pick up dust. Or at least the one I had didn't. Idk the brand. So you'd have to dust weekly before mopping.
I do plan to get another one later after we get rid of our carpet and after a couple of dogs pass.

We do have one in our house, but.. we do not use it often. LOL.
When it moves around, it makes me sooo nervous I don't like it. It gives me anxiety, and I'm not sure why it does.. but it just does
I think they're useful for cleaning up little messes, but I personally feel like I'd rather use a regular vacuum cleaner to clean up lots of dust and whatnot.

I don’t have one. I mean yeah they’re nice and I like not having to vacuum myself but I don’t like how they will start cleaning automatically even if you don’t want it to.

i've had two. some random one off of amazon and then an actual roomba. the original off-brand one died in 2 years but i love my new roomba. i love wood floors but hate keeping up with them, especially since i have pets who shed everywhere. it's a huge help not having to sweep every day.

I don’t like how they will start cleaning automatically even if you don’t want it to.

both of the ones i have had don't do that on their own. you have to set up a routine for it to start vacuuming. if you don't want it to vacuum, don't set the routine.

My sister has one and they seem pretty cool. It'd be nice for those who don't have a lot of time and are super busy so they can use them to vacuum some rooms to keep it maintained until you can give it a real good vacuuming.

yeah we have the narwal freo x ultra and it's very handy. it vacuums and mops almost everyday and we only have to spill the dirty water tank and fill the clean water tank every so often when it empties, as well as clean out the brush thing, none of which is time-consuming. it of course can't get corners and stuff like that, so you still gotta make sure to use a regular vacuum for maintenance every once in a while. my opinion on it would be it was worth it to us, all my family members are happy with it except our dog, lol. though he usually chills downstairs with my brothers while its on anyway, it can't go down there as it's only mapped to our main floor. it's pretty neat, gets a stamp of approval from me

I don't but I want one. It'd be very useful on days when chronic pain is being a pain in my butt. I remember my mom being very against them for some reason. She also hated microwaves. Anyway, that's beside the point. If I didn't have to buy a new phone soon-ish, I'd set my sights on a robot vacuum for sure.

Never had one and have no interest in owning one. They're cool, sure, but as household chores go, I find vacuuming to be pretty laid back and it's simple enough that I don't feel the need or desire to relegate the task to something else. Plus, it's an excuse to get up and move around, even if it's not that much. I actually kind of like vacuuming, haha.

I've never owned a dishwasher but I can definitely see the appeal of one, even though I don't mind washing dishes, just because it would cut down on cleaning time and free me up to do other things instead. Whereas with a robot vaccum, I don't know, it feels excessive and unnecessary.

We used to have one for our above ground pool but my brother didn't flatten the layout enough to the pool became too uneven for it to work properly. It'd just get stuck in the center.

We also have one at my store. Not cleaning but for calling for clean-ups at whatever aisle it finds spills or trash in. It gets soooooo annoying though because it gets in the way all the time when I'm shopping. I swear to god, EVERYTIME I go to pick out apples after work, the freaking thing immediately follows me. Makes me wanna throw the stupid thing.

i don't because they're expensive and i try not to be as minimal as possible with tech and appliances and also heard the suction isn't as powerful as the manual ones. however it would be really nice to have, especially with my bad back i sometimes can't vacuum for a couple weeks. i don't have any pets and we're a no shoes household (except house slippers) so i don't see the need for one right now.

I really wanted to a few years back, but then my partner got a really (((fancy))) custom rug that they're terrified it'll get ruined whenever it's cleaned. One day, though...

My boyfriend has a cheap robot vacuum thingy which he doesn't really use LMAO. I tried it once and it just cleans in one direction before hitting a wall, then it turns around and does it again until it hits something. I'm not sure if robot vacuums are meant to be like that but it feels more efficient to just. Clean the floor yourself lol

I have one and I DESPISE it, I will be chilling at my computer and then all of a sudden I just hear BMRBMRMBRBMRMBRMMBRMBRMRM whenever it passes by the door. If it makes it in it's the sound constantly with the added treat of THUD THUD THUD and the occasional bumping on my legs.

It sounds like something nice to have. I saw someone put a ghost decoration over their roomba for halloween and I want to do that with a mimikyu.

My grandma gave us one a long time ago, but I think we returned it for some reason. I haven't got one since, as I feel like my pets would be afraid of it.

Side note...I remember a news story where a woman in South Korea fell asleep on the floor and her Roomba started vacuuming her hair! I think they had to call emergency services to cut her hair out of it. Don't mean to be a Debbie Downer (womp WOMP) but that story always freaked me out-- even though I don't sleep on the floor.

I used to have one and for a while it worked fine although it did get stuck sometimes. I think it broke since it doesn’t do anything anymore but I much prefer sweeping and cleaning myself anyways.

My family does but it doesn't work. I don't think they even care to fix it since it has been under a table collecting dust for over a year now.
