I got one last week, which has made it hard for me to play AC:NL but its alright, i play once in a while now for a few minutes, I have a warehouse job at American Apparel thats 12 hours a day for 7 days a week until further notice of a day off, usually one each week. the over time pays off though, cant wait to get paid this friday. its a bit killer on my body but its not too bad, im only doing it til october. So who has a job here? and if you do what do you do? I'd love to know! :^o

I've only had one job and I was a lifeguard last summer. I just started college this semester so I don't have a job but I might get one once the school year is over.
Lifeguarding was a pretty cool job when teenagers would hang out at the pool because they made it interesting, but I mostly had to watch parents and little kids. It can be VERY boring just watching people swim but the people I worked with made it pretty fun.
I don't want to be a lifeguard again but I'll find another job.

I work at the grocery store down the street and I occasionally babysit for my neighbors. I worked at the water park during the summer.

Sadly no, I can?t seem to find a job that suits me, I?m best at working alone, I want a job where I don?t have to deal with people like in grocery stores etc.
So yeah, that?s pretty hard to find, though I?m gonna get some help finding a job soon, I just need to get a job until next summer when I hopefully will start education in Media Design.
I finished school last summer, then I went to Web Design, but I did not get any money from it since I?m not 18 yet, and it was just not really my cup of tea, I might try it out again some time though, then I went to a school where you get paid for just being there and doing tasks, for example I was in Media Design, where they gave us tasks to complete in Adobe Photoshop etc, it was all fine, though the money we got was pretty much non existent compared to other "jobs" and I was better than the teachers, at media design they asked me for help lol, also they moved the school, and it became a big hassle for me because I had to wait a LOOONG time for the bus and train to get there and back. So I eventually quit that too, so it have probably been around a year since I last has a "job".
But yeah as I said I hope I can get one soon, a lot of games are coming out that I want so I need to get one.

I feel you there. It's the same for me, I don't want to just work anywhere. I want a comfortable job where I just do my thing.
At the same time, all the jobs you want either aren't hiring, or have too much others applying who beat you in the competition.
I need to try for anything though, life is begging me to work somewhere.
This game and this site is way too addicting for me and I can't seem to even apply for anything. I need to get used to not playing ACNL :/

It's not easy getting a job that you "Want" :c

Still in school.

No time for a job, exams and everything xD

Unfortunately, no, I don't. I'm trying to find one, but finding/getting a job is easier said than done when you have social anxiety and you're scared at the idea of job interviews and/or having to deal with customers. I honestly wish some people that I've met wouldn't act like finding a job is just so easy.

That said, I am trying to find one that is right for me (because if I don't, I'll literally end up ill from the stress) and while I am hoping to write a novel and get it published, I really need to find something to tide me over until then.

I do at a grocery store. I applied for cashier but the manager made me a bagger instead. And the manager keeps telling me to do more stuff and step up to the plate and I am but everyday he says the same thing so I'm pretty sure I will be fired soon.

That's what I"m afraid of. Not being good enough for jobs. Imagine working in a busy restaurant where they need you constantly. It's gonna be so easy to mess up.
It's tough working, when you're not used to being with people and inexperienced. The weak have a hard time surviving this world.
It's not only hard to find a job, but I'm also not so qualified for most of them it seems.
Traveling is inconvenient also, costs too much and it's a pain to wait for an un-reliable bus.
Workings the only way to survive, but how do you ever enjoy spare time, when it's only about 2 hours. Say good bye to things you loved doing

I do have a job.

I currently work as a waitress. I like the place where I work simply because I feel like I struck gold with my co-workers. The people I work with are so kind and funny and when I was new they immediately took me in as one of them. I feel like it's so rare to find an environment like that, because usually there's so much competition between staff and it causes a lot of friction.

I've been working there for almost 2 years now. I think one of the reasons I actually got this job, is because I was / am a full-time student. There are specific working environments that tailor to student needs and hire students (I think the governement pays each company that has a student staff). They do this by giving us 4 hour shifts at a time, but if we wanted / needed more hours they would be able to add on as well.

I think it's a great idea to check out Job Fairs at schools. :3 We have one each year (and it's usually calling centres that come), and I think it's an ideal start for students without jobs. Most of the companies that do come to hire, specifically focus on student needs (flexibility in hours). A lot of the people I know have gotten started this way.

I just got my certificate to substitute teach so if you count subbing as a job, then that's what I do^^

No. When I turn 14 I have to work on my family's farm on Saturdays/the summer, so oh boy.

Unfortunately I do. :c I hate my job though. I'm a manager and I just don't really care for it, I have quite an interested group of employees and despite pretty much all of them being unreliable I can't seem to be able to get rid of them because there's no applicants.

No. I volunteer (childcare, yay!), take on as much (media-related) work exp as possible, and do any freelance (film) work I'm lucky enough to get - but I lack an actual steady job. I'm just free/cheap labour.

No. Help.

I wish I still had the job I did in college, but they don't have much interest in student tutors once the student has graduated....

Not until I get my social phobia under control.

I'm a full time college student, and I also work as a community liaison for international students at my college.

Yep! I work fulltime in research :). It's pretty exciting most of the time, but there is so much downtime :(. (/twiddles thumbs and posts on forums)
