Man, my typing looks bad when I'm typing on a phone and I only notice the typos when I already replied to something. How annoying is that! Also, my phone is like glitching on the keyboard, like it makes random letters appear when I'm typing and I don't know how to stop that. So that problem it makes everything more of a struggle to type when on phone. Thank goodness when on the laptop I don't have to deal with any of that!
But I have been noticing people make more typos when on a phone, my guess is because the keys are so small and they don't have enough space compared to a desktop keyboard.

I'm not a huge fan of typing on phones due to the typos and such. I think the keys are too small, leading me to spell stuff wrong and such. It's also a pain to go back and fix the mistakes/typos too.

I know right. And it doesn't matter if I flip the phone, It's still so small. It could be a struggle for my dad because he can't see that well anymore.

i do! the majority of my typos are minor but it still irks me a bit whenever i don’t notice a typo until after i’ve sent the message. and i have the same thing happen to me with the keyboard, too!! sometimes my phone gets super laggy and so when i try to type, it turns out that none of the correct letters were selected and it’s just a bunch of gibberish aha,,

but my favourite is when i make a typo so bad, usually because i don’t know how to spell whatever i’m trying to say, and i mess it up so badly that not even autocorrect knows what i meant :P

This. i have autocorrect off which I don't get why more people have tbf.. it's fun doing typos on that first few times but it gets really annoying when you get texts that are like mike chocolate lawyer store or something lol. but yeah i don't like typing on touchscreens

Definitely prefer the old slider phone buttons. I found that I made less typos.

Autocorrect is the worst. I found that I spent more time correcting its mistakes than my own so I disabled it. I do like the recommendations that pop up as they help speed up my typing speed. I go back and reread my messages to make sure I didn't mistype anything but there's always something your eyes miss.

I'm so bad with using my phone's keyboard. I fat thumb everything and words like 'types' turn into 'times.' My eyesight isn't the greatest either, so I've had to increase the text size to make it more comfortable to read. It makes editing messages a bit more difficult with the already limited screen real estate.

@Corrie with you on auto correct. I've had to turn it off because even when I spell the word correctly it corrects to something else. I also don't appreciate auto-capitalization, so I've turned that off too. 😅

my friends have given me nicknames because of how many typos I make - i was trying to type "grabbing my jacket, one second" & typed "grabbing my jackey 1 seco", so now I'm called "jackey" constantly
typi was the name of our groupchat for a while b/c i was trying to spell typo
if my life were a sitcom, it'd be the longest running gag... second only to that time I tried driving to mitsuwa and ended up by the state line.

Auto-correct is my mortal enemy. I'm bilingual so the poor thing is confused and likes to randomly "correct" my words in to something completely different in the totally wrong language.

Thankfully I typically catch it before I hit send so no-one has to order me an exorcism for suddenly speaking in tongues.
At least not yet.

People type messages on their phone?

Usually I don’t have to deal with typos on my phone. It’s my tablet that I have problems typing correctly on sometimes.

I used my tablet too when it wasn't so slow unlike now. If l type on table now, it will be so delayed for words to appear.

It's definitely more of a pain to deal with typos (and typing in general) on a phone. I do use autocorrect, and generally it does correct my typos into what I had wanted to say, but if it doesn't then it's annoying to have to go to the word and change it, or to look back, realize I hadn't used the correct word (or it was changed into the wrong word) and change it. The fact I type much slower on my phone rather than on a computer doesn't help matters, lol. I'd rather just use an actual keyboard 24/7 and have better control over what I'm typing than have to use an on-screen keyboard, lol

Typing on the phone is definitely less accurate for me cause of the small keys all so close to each other. I like to keep autocorrect off to cause I'd rather risk a typo than a completely different word, but that means I have to proofread everything before I send it. And I've become spoiled by forums and apps like discord that let you edit your message after you've sent it. Wish that was somehow possible with texts 😅

omg LOL ya'll need to get swiftkey, shameless plug right here but it's such a quality of life boost. i seriously don't even type anything remotely near accurate and i very rarely suffer from typos that aren't just my own error. i just stay within the paths of the keystrokes and it's about 90% accurate. it also reads your copy pastes so u can easily fill them in places. AND it's aesthetic.

below i was purposefully trying to miss keys for "wondering" and "lost in translation" u don't even rly need to put spaces

YEP. But I hate autocorrect even more. I have Big Fingers that love to press like 3 keys at once... ugh

I hate typos in general. I probably type better and faster on my phone than my laptop though. I’m on my phone (more than I should be) the most throughout the day, I hardly ever hop on my laptop unless it’s something I can’t do from my phone. My phone is just more convenient for me to use, I can just whip it out whenever and wherever rather then lugging my laptop around. I do also use autocorrect though, it doesn’t always get it right but for the most part it’s more helpful than not. I don’t mind proofreading what I type before sending things. Sometimes I may forget but it’s okay, I’ll survive lol.

I don't like making typos. Auto correct can help most of the time but sometimes, I type in something and mess it up so bad that the auto correct thinks it's something completely different, so I have to go back and fix that. I still keep it on though since it is quite helpful for me. And there are times where I want to misspell things intentionally for fun and it does get annoying when the auto correct tries to fix it and kind of doesn't give me a choice.

I don’t like making typos in general. My only access to internet has been through my phone, unless you count gaming consoles, in which case I can’t be bothered to use the browser on those. It’s too time consuming and a pain. I rarely make typos on my phone considering I have autocorrect on and predictive text. I also read through the contents before posting.

I make typos all the time, I try using talk text most of the time, but it’s even worse.

Typos on my phone don’t happen too often because I’ve gotten so used to typing on it. Usually autocorrect is able to fix the minor mistakes I make. That being said I do get frustrated when the typo is so egregious that my phone can’t correct it.
