Do you get sad discovering villager items in recycle box?

my answer is not really.... but...

i’ve been doing the DIY storage trick so mine was full & i’ve forgotten about it until i cleared some today.

only to realize items from villagers that moved out started appearing. now, i’ve always gotten furniture which i find neat because yay!! but then there’s this shirt i’ve given apple and forgot what it was called and when i wore it, i remember i gifted it specifically for her and it was just sad

i know it’s just a “game” but wow, nintendo!
tbh i’d rather get the move out letters, which lead to me sometimes keeping furnitures there as souvenirs.

i admittedly got a little a little sad when i discovered those items yesterday, i had no idea this happens. I honestly don't really like it, the goodbye letters at least were sweet and personal...

Plus, Lucky left a gravestone lmao

Yeah it is sad. Often they leave behind clothing I chose especially for them and it’s kind of a bit insulting. I wish they’d leave behind random items instead of personal gifts from me!

Nah. If I let a villager go I'm pretty much done with them. The few that went also didn't leave anything particularly sentimental in the recycle box, honestly I've never found anything in there that was worth keeping.

I too got a stone from him, which was perfect, because I displayed it, then placed his picture next to it.

I don't have the habit of checking the recycle box and go for months without looking into it. That, plus the fact that my memory is like a sieve, when I do find something interesting in the recycle box, I'm sometimes stumped as to who could have left it! I'm a terrible person.

Here's a mystery I haven't solved. I found a pink starry garland in the box. Until now, I still can't recall who might have left it. My mind's a blank.

Yeah I was really sad when Nate left and I found a shirt I had gifted him in the recycling bin. I was also hoping he would leave the hula doll I had gifted him at the beginning of the game when I didn’t know it was a rare item.

Julian moved out the other day and expected to find the many baby rompers I gave him but instead he left his capricorn ornament. I was a bit shocked, lol.

I’m only sad when I realize they left me something I didn’t want from their house. But I’m not planning on having any other villagers move out/in, so it’s not something I think too much about

I definitely get sad when they leave gifts behind, I think what they leave should be restricted to the default furniture of their house. Those items I don't mind finding in the recycle box. I actually got an item I really liked (wood-burning stove) from a villager who I really hated having (Broffina) and it actually made me like her more in a way

I was sad when I saw a miko attire I gifted Bianca in the recycle box the day after she moved out. It was just sad because I liked her and seeing that in there made me regret letting her go lol.
